SANA – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow is ready to cooperate with the United States on the crisis in Syria.
Lavrov made his remarks during a meeting with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman al-Safadi in Moscow on Saturday.
The Russian diplomat stressed the need for unifying efforts between Russia and the US-led coalition to combat terrorism.
He added that the talks with Jordanian counterpart will touch upon means of fighting ISIS and al-Qaeda terrorist organizations in South Syria near the Jordanian borders as well as the preparations for holding a new round of talks between the Syrian parties in Astana.
