A MAN will face court today over an alleged bomb hoax at Sydney Airport last night.
Just after 8pm AEDT yesterday,a phone call was received via Triple Zero in relation to an alleged bomb threat against the airport.
Following investigations, police arrested a 49-year-old man at Newcastle about 8.20pm.
During the arrest the man allegedly threatened and attempted to assault police.
He was taken to Newcastle police dtation and charged with use carriage service to make hoax threat, and three counts of assault police.
He was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court today.
