More Joyous racing inquiry adjourned

The Racing NSW inquiry involving Gai Waterhouse and John Singleton has adjourned, seeking further witnesses including former rugby league player Andrew Johns.

The very public spat between owner Mr Singleton and trainer Mrs Waterhouse over the horse “More Joyous” played out at a firey stewards inquiry in Sydney today.

Mrs Waterhouse told the inquiry she did not talk to her husband Gary Waterhouse or her bookmaker son Tom Waterhouse about More Joyous’ condition prior to it racing second last in All Ages Stake last weekend.

More to come.
