TCP : The trial of former President Mohamed Morsi was postponed to Nov. 9 after his plane failed to take off in Alexandria due to bad weather, Youm7 reported Sunday.
The Sunday hearing of his trial on spying for Qatar began with all the other 10 defendants present in the court room’s docket.
The judge read out a letter from Giza Security Directorate informing the court that flying Morsi would not be possible.
The defense team was also late and families of the defendants did not appear to attend the hearing.
Sunday witnessed the beginning of unstable weather in Egypt with a drop in temperature and heavy rains, especially in Alexandria where Morsi is jailed. Traffic is usually jammed when it rains in Egypt due to bad or lacking rain drainage systems.
The defendants in the espionage case face charges of leaking classified documents related to the national security and the army to Qatar.
