Netanyahu to ask US for $2bn addition to annual support

Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to meet on Monday US President Barack Obama at White House for 16th time in past seven years.

Israeli media reported that the meeting will focus on military aid to the Israeli occupation and the current aggression on the Palestinians.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu’s meeting with Obama comes in hopes of securing an additional $2bn a year in military aid to the occupation state.

“Israel now wants a decade-long security package beginning in 2017 worth $5bn per year, an increase from the last package that was worth $3bn a year,” an Israeli security source was quoted as saying by the Jerusalem Post.

In addition to Iran’s threat, the Israeli media said that the occupation state is facing Hezbollah in the north, Hamas in Gaza and ISIS, which is growing stronger in Sinai.
