Awake Goy Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich appeared on Fox News this morning to discuss presidential politics, and he made a stunning revelation about GOP frontrunner Donald Trump that spells serious trouble for the establishment.
Speaking with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures, Gingrich warned the GOP that it needs to start preparing for trump to be the eventual nominee, and that given his recent high-profile endorsements, the establishment would be wise to stop attacking the billionaire.
“I thought it was very impressive both that Chris Christie endorsed him and the way he endorsed him and the things he said,” explained Gingrich.
Bartiromo then asked Gingrich to explain in more detail what he was talking about.
“I think it’s actually healthy to go for another couple of weeks but all this talk about stop Trump, Super PACs and all out assaults on Trump’s character, and so, these are nonsense,” he said. “Governor LePage of Maine has also now endorsed Donald Trump. And I think is that these are both northeastern governors.”
“So this is not a right-left kind of fight in the traditional sense,” added Gingrich. “This is about people who want to dramatically change Washington, and who are willing to go with someone who’s very, very different.”
Indeed it is, and Gingrich is right – the people of America are tired of politics as-usual in Washington, and are throwing their weight behind Trump because even though he may not be the most conservative on every issue, he’s promising to run into Washington like a wrecking ball and change things up. After years of failed policies, dominating three elections only to have the GOP cave to Obama and the Democrats, and America as a whole slipping further into oblivion, that’s exactly what’s needed.
