NH man to plead guilty in missing Maine mom case

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The New Hampshire attorney general says one of three defendants in the disappearance and death of a Maine mother whose body was found in a ski area pond last year will plead guilty.

Attorney General Michael Delaney says Ossipee (OS’-ah-pee) resident Anthony Papile (pah-PEEL’) will enter a plea and be sentenced Thursday.

Papile is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 20-year-old Portland, Maine, resident Krista Dittmeyer, whose car was found idling in a ski area parking lot in April 2011 with her 14-month-old child unharmed inside.

Dittmeyer’s body was found four days later a quarter-mile away.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young won’t say to what charge Papile will plead.

Papile’s lawyer won’t discuss the charge but says he expects the case to be resolved Thursday.
