President-Elect Obama’s advisers feared in 2008 that authorities would oust him in a coup and that Republicans would block his policy agenda if he prosecuted Bush-era war crimes, according to a law school dean who served as one of Obama’s top transition advisers.

University of California at Berkeley Law School Dean Christopher Edley, Jr., above, the sixth highest-ranking member of the 2008 post-election transition team preparing Obama’s administration, revealed the team’s thinking on Sept. 2 in moderating a forum on 9/11 held by his law school(also known as Boalt Hall). Edley was seeking to explain Obama’s “look forward” policy on suspected Bush-era law-breaking that the president-elect announced on a TV talk show in January 2009.

But Edley’s rationale implies that Obama, or at least his team, feared the military/national security forces that the president is supposed be commanding — and that Republicans have intimidated him right from the start of his presidency even after voters in 2008 rejected Republicans by the largest combined presidential-congressional mandate in recent U.S. history.

Edley responded to my request for additional information by providing a description of the transition team’s fears. Edley said that transition officials, not Obama, agreed that he faced the possibility of a coup.

well…I thinks it’s time for a coup right now!
How much longer can we deal with a corrupt gov’t?
All should be ousted!
The more I study and not merely this article, is that there are other powerful forces at work behind the scenes to get done what they want. The Pentagaon, intelligence communities, bankers etc… are the ones who instruct the president of what to do. I look at this as dumming his job description down to chief teleprompter reader.

If his agenda parallels theirs, that’s fine. If it doesn’t, they help him come to an understanding of what happens if he DOESN’T do what they want. In terms of philosophy, Barrack Obama is a yin man in a yang position while the real string pullers are yang people in yin positions compared to responsibility of the US President.

This arrangement of a weak superior and stronger subordinates perpetuates this activity.
How dismal it must be to be Puppedent of this once great Nation and the only decisions I am allowed to make are nine iron or wedge. On Election Day, the vast hordes of exit poll workers will have determined that our new Puppedent Perry has won by a comfortable margin, long before the polls close. The chances that he will pursue any criminal charges against former administration officials will be exactly proportionate to the number of voters who were actually polled upon leaving the ballot box.
it wasn’t a good presidence to set. i.e. prosecuting the out going president for actions taken during his presidency. This is a no brainer. What happened was President O’bama made the mistaken of announcing this prior to vetting the concept.

Those who think somehow the republican party is in control of the military are sadly uninformed. The rank and file have always done better under a Democratic president than a republican. In addition, Republicans don;t actually serve in the military. They profit from off military. Like a leach. It is the Democrats who actually get dirty and serve.

Furthermore, a standing president has the strength of the constitution behind him. What moron would orchestrate a coup in front of God all mighty.

Another tactic would be to suspend the writ of habeas corpus like President Lincoln did. Have the secret service arrest anyone who threatened the president , in this insistence the very constitution,and intern them indefinitely or until the heat settled.
So instead, Resident Obama decides to back all of bushes agenda and the double bushes efforts?

Give me a break, this is just more divide and rule propaganda in order to turn the world into a Eugenics paradise (for the 5% of humanity that remains).
Excuse me? Obama was afraid he would be ousted in a coup AND the Republicans would “block his policy agenda”?

1) If he was ousted in a coup then the “policy agenda” would pretty much be out the window. So saying he was afraid they would oust him in a coup AND block his agenda doesn’t make sense.

2) OK, let’s take the offered premise as true. He didn’t prosecute Bush officials because he was afraid of a coup and of having this “policy agenda” blocked. I’m having trouble figuring out what this vaunted “policy agenda” that he wanted to implement was, since all he has done since he got into office is CONTINUE THE BUSH AGENDA.

There’s no change, Obama is the tool of the banksters, deep sixing the real economy, starting wars, and destroying civil liberties. He might as well be Barrack W. Obama.

This “story” is just that. A story. A distraction. Disinformation to garner sympathy for Obama and his continuation of the globalist/bankster agenda.

The guy making this claim is just another tool of the banksters.
Maybe so. Nixon was ousted by a silent coup through Watergate because he was going along with the globalist takeover… Obama is such a compromised ass cushion that it’s just too easy to throw his worthless ass under the bus and has to stepdown… Then we would be ruled by pliable puppet Biden…
