Several hundred protesters – young and old, healthy and disabled – converged in downtown Houston Thursday to demand greater social and economic justice under the banner of the Occupy Houston movement.
The demonstration was an outgrowth of a New York event, Occupy Wall Street, focused on what protesters call corporate greed and disproportionate influence of the very wealthy. The local protest began at 8:30 a.m. at Market Square Park with about 150 protesters – many carrying placards and chanting – who then marched to the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank Tower before moving on to City Hall.
The crowd grew through the day.

Money is the root of all your problems people. People except and use the Federal Reserves’ currency notes. So long as you people contenue to do so, the Federal Reserve is not going to hear what ANY of you people have to say about ANYthing. You people need to do something that will get the Feds’ attention better then standing on a street and shouting.
You people need to go to your local banks and with draw all your cash out of the banks and then take it home and sit on it. Then STOP doing ANY buissness with ANY banks.
People need to expand alternate local currencies. Look up alternate currencies on line, then start excepting and using them instead of the fed notes. If you have stock, cash it in or sell it off. Dump them. Dump the Fed notes, and DUMP THE BANKS!!!
Then you’ll get somewhere fast with them. Their wallet and bank accounts and pocket books is the ONLY place they feel any pain.
Of course there is no mention of the Primary Purpose of the Demonstration in the News Article:
If the Abolishment of the Federal Reserve is not Addressed then OWS is not going to be effective. Abolish the Private Banking Cartel occupying our Government and Enslaving our People: known as the Federal Reserve.
End the Fed! End the Fed! End the Fed!
Today is a great day in the cause for liberty! We are occupying indianapolis starting at noon today. Please come join your fellow patriots in protesting the fed! The protest will continue on Sunday as well! Looking forward to making our voices heard! God Bless!
