At a recent luncheon at the National Press Club, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul warned journalists that they could be placed on a “kill list” should the government deem them a threat to national security.
The Associated Press reported that the Texas congressman encouraged journalists and citizens alike to condemn the President’s actions, lest they find themselves placed on the list for their own views.
“Can you imagine being put on a list because you’re a threat?” an exasperated Paul asked. “What’s going to happen when they come to the media? What if the media becomes a threat? … This is the way this works. It’s incrementalism.”

Anyone with a cell phone is a target.
While Paul makes a valid point, and while I disagree with “the list”, it’s pretty sensationalist thinking to believe that the U.S. would put everybody and anybody on these “kill lists”. Why would they need to if they can just make you disappear very quietly or fake your suicide? Not going to happen, this is only fear mongering.
If that happens you WERE on the list !
It’s not fear mongering at all. He is stating the fact that the U.S. government has created a “star chamber” of people who operate outside of law. That is the bottom of the slippery slope – and this is also applicable to “making you disappear” as well, since there is little to no difference between the two.
Ron Paul is one of the few defendants of the Constitution, and that is the entire point.
Ron Paul has come out like a rageing lion against Obama and the Fed, and this is what he needed to do. He is showing strength in words as well as actions. Alex Jones has come out full tilt boogie on the federal reserve, and is showing no sign of giving up. I say Paul/Jones 2012!!!
Don’t think the MSM need worry unless their blamed for not stopping protests ( they didn’t make the sale their customers walked ) however the alternative media and posters on their sites beware you might get caught in the “crossfire” of a convience store robbery, carjacking, or home invasion, all of these are a frequent occurance nowdays. Be safe.
I have been shocked over the past many months at how distanced I am from many other American citizens. Seems so many do not recognize that if it can happen to ONE, it can happen to all. (AND of course, YOU know, as do I, that is WHY Our Constitution afforded us protections from such.) BUT some people have replied re many ‘topics’ – not on INFO Boards, but Fox threads, for example… “If you’re doing nothing wrong, then you have no cause to be worried.” (THAT was a reply to my post re the extension of the UNPatriotic Act.)
I believe I’ve reached a level of oversaturation…and need to take a break from the “news” for a few days.
Fox is mostly propaganda. The only good show is Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano on FBN.
The Kill List. Just look at all the inccoent millions the US killed and maimed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ron Paul is right, anyone could be on that kill list. With drones being controlled out of Creech Air Force Base killing indiscriminately in Afghanistan and Pakistan, it seems people are being added as a “suspected terrorists”.

theoretically, I could get in my car and forget to hit the brakes as old people or children from school cross the road. A car is a killing machine. Ok Kwoop, go hide under a table. How easily some people are intimidated. Why not turn the Killing List into a video game?

Ron’s right of course! That’s why sad to say he won’t win if he bases his candidacy on the truth and exposing the military etc. They’ll add him to the hit list or sideline him soon enough!
