A DAD says he was threatened by police under anti-terror laws – for taking a picture of his wee girl eating ice cream.

Chris White was pulled up by a security guard and police were called after he snapped his four-year-old daughter Hazel on his phone in Braehead shopping centre, near Glasgow.

Chris was asked to delete the photos and banned from the mall.

Police also warned him they could confiscate his phone under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

He said yesterday: “I just couldn’t believe what was happening to me.”

Or are they just so utterly THICK in the head that they really cannot distinguish a real-life threat over some innocent action as harmless as a couple photo shots of one’s daughter eating ice-cream? I have actually something like this before.

But, it was in the context of family law not terrorism.

The blasted family law judge was that man might take child pornography pictures with a camera and thus shouldn’t be allowed to have a camera.
My article on street photography details my own experiences, read it on my blog. This has been going on since 7/7, the UK’s me-too 9/11. The police were and still do harass and victimise citizens by threatening arrest if they take photos in public. They do it under the prevention of terroism act.

The ironic thing is this incident happened opposite a shop which sells these things. So they want you to consume and buy these products but don’t want you to use them outside your own home.

When the majority of morons buy into the police state because they are cowards who don’t believe they can take care of themselves, we might as well just go out into the cotton fields and kill ourselves. The moronic cops think of us as slaves, and yes they hire morons to be mall cops or security guards, who want nothing better than to be heros. What is typical of cops now days is that they are taught how to be intimidating by manipulating the supposed perp’s psyche and emotions, under the guise of “Staying in Control”. This miliaristic proceedure will only work so far, and then off come the gloves.
We commentors have to careful what we say, so as not to incite riots by advocating mayhem, but let it be a lesson to those bullies out there who believe that they are “Just Doing Their Duty”, that there will come a time in the near future when the citizens of all nations throw off the shackles of autority and fight back. IE; If you want a war, just keep it up and I am sure the citizens of your country will be more than glad to oblidge you.
Ask the young men coming back from Iraq if they like having bullets whizzing over their heads. That is what you may have to put up with in a civil war, and it is not fun staying awake 24/7 so as to keep yourself and your family supposedly safe.

I bet the management of the shopping mall wish that this incident had never happened considering the resulting blowback.Let this be a lesson to others who think that this kind of nonsense is acceptable.

One of the stupid aspects of this story is the security guard telling the guy to wait there while the police were called.

You’re so right. And I truly believe that U.S. Government struck fear into the hearts of about every American with the whole terrorist threat/war/2nd depression bullshit so much that we were literally frightened into this War.
One more thing; I’ve always felt.. irritated whenever some uniformed person will explain they are just doing their duty whenever they are inconveniencing an innocent civilians over such irrelevant matters as these.. because I am under the impression that I’m am always doing my duty as a citizen to not fold under this kind of intimidation when there is no proof of anything, and no real reason to hinder one such as an innocent.
After certain terrorist attempts on airports and attempted spying in World War II, the authorities have rationalized that anyone taking pictures of public areas must be acquiring information for attempted sabotage. They already log the communications with search engines and Google maps (from other murder trials).

If they just stopped people with dark complexions from taking pictures, that would be racist. So they have to stop everyone to avoid that charge.

Parents aren’t allow to film or photograph their children at school plays, game matches or even in public parks either.
