It started out as a banter among friends, but the joke was soon on a group of former public schoolboys after an indiscreet list of rules for a rugby trip went viral.

The four friends, who call themselves G4, drew up a set of rules to be followed on their trip to the Hong Kong 7s tournament next month.

Cheating on their girlfriends is permitted and boasting about ‘how rich we are’ is encouraged, according to the memo, which ended up being sent around the world.

It was received by employees at global companies such as Clifford Chance and Barclays Wealth.

The tongue-in-cheek memo from the group, which boasts of their ‘capability to dominate social, political and economical spheres’, also featured profiles of its four members.

The group’s apparent ‘president’ James Hill is a terrorism and political violence insurance broker at Willis who is in his mid-20s, the Telegraph reports.

According to his email profile, he is ‘a remarkably good looking individual who is permanently tanned and has an extremely muscular body’.

Accompanying Mr Hill on the holiday to the Middles East are George Boulton-Lea, a ship broker at Arrow, Rory Jones, an account executive at Lightfoot Marketing Asia, and Daniel England, a lawyer with Shearman and Sterling and University College London graduate.

Among the rules devised for their trip are:

  • cheating is allowed;
  • no anti-lad behaviour allowed (i.e. calling girlfriends, being nice to random expats);
  • chants about your surrounding environment, being oily and how rich we are, are compulsory;
  • mentioning of parents’ salaries once a day;
  • public school boy 10 minutes (collars must be up) at specified 10 minutes past the hour.

Mr Jones, the ‘captain’ of the group, has a background in law having interned at leading law firm Freshfields Bruckhuas Deringer and worked for Justice where, according to his profile, he was in a team ‘scrutinising the implications of EU justice and home affairs proposals’.

He previously attended City of London Freemen’s School where he captained the 1st XV rugby team before going on to study at Nottingham University.

The describes him as ‘a strong character’ to be ‘compared to a true Viking warrior’.

Global firms Willis and Arrow declined to comment.

He’s omitted ‘being a charmless little pillock’ from his list.

They’re not rich, their parentsare.

So what !!!

Mid 20’s with a mentality of 17 year olds!

sad little boys with big egos and little brain power lol

Kids are kids whatever their background, they do daft things. These are rich, they brag about their (parents) wealth and do all the rugby club stuff. If they were poor they’d probably be bragging about their crimes. Nothing to get excited about.

And this is newsworthy because…..?

Who cares?

the “Middles East”? thank god my public school education at least left me with the ability to spell whilst i am not a journalist employed to write for a living.

LOL, my next door neighbour is a professional rugby player, and he and his mates seem to have a stream of gorgeous girls leaving the house in the morning. But i wonder who is taking advantage of whom! I really cant believe that the girls are poor,sweet, innocent girls who dont know EXACTLY what they are doing!
