nsnbc : Three rockets landed in open land, without causing damage in Israel on Sunday following the assassination of senior Hezbollah leader Samir Kuntar Saturday night in Damascus.

Samir Al-Kuntar was killed by an Israeli airstrike in the Syrian capital Damascus. The air strike was carried out in violation of Syrian sovereignty and international law.
Israeli military would state that the rockets fired into northern Israel had not caused any damage.
Neither Israeli nor Lebanese media have thus far attributed the rockets to any particular organization or party.
Israeli military responded to the three rockets by firing artillery shells into Lebanese territory.
The most likely target of the Israeli artillery fire are known Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is to appear in a live televised speech via al-Manar TV on Monday 8:30 pm local time.
Nasrallah is expected to give his response to the illegal Israeli air strike that struck a residential building in the Syrian city Jaramana in the Damascus countryside late Saturday, killing Samir Kuntar.
Samir Kuntar had spent 29 years in an Israeli prison before his release on July 16, 2008. His release was brokered by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC), as part of an exchange of prisoners against the return of the remains of fallen Israeli soldiers.
