Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s latest television advertisement lumps his Republicans rivals together with Democrats and claims he is the only GOP presidential candidate that can defeat President Barack Obama in 2012.

The 1-minuted ad, called “The One,” will air in Iowa and New Hampshire. A campaign spokesman said the ad cost at least six figures.

“It’s the story of a lost city, lost opportunity, lost hope. A story of failed policies, failed leadership. A story of smooth talking politicians, games of ‘he said, she said,’ rhetoric and division,” the ad says, while transposing images of Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann with Congressional Democrats and Obama.

Well, will see which Presidential candidate gets wisked away for that secret meeting with the burgers. Would it be Rick Perry? Probably . I’m just concerned for Ron Paul’s safety. The more momentum he gains, the more dangerous it becomes. Run off the road, airplane crash, a sudden heart attack. But I know Ron Paul is determined more that ever, he’s at the poker table and he’s all in!!! GO RON GO!!
I was at my folk’s house last night, and I asked the old folks their opinion about R.P. being ignored by the msm. I almost crapped my pants! Moms is totally against ANY republican being elected, and thinks R.P. is a nut with no credibility. Dad told me straight out, he hopes obombya gets RE-ELECTED!
This crazy system has my parents TOTALLY BRAINWASHED!! I am a bit discouraged, but not surprised, I keep my status as the “black sheep” of the family for my political views.

All Obama has to run on is his charisma. He has completely tarnished his record since he took office. If Obama is re-elected, that means that either the election is completely rigged from the top down (which wouldn’t surprise me in the least), or the American people en masse are more gullible than a relatively intelligent person could even fathom.

Of course, the neo-cons will do everything in their power to stop Ron Paul from even getting the GOP nomination. I would encourage those that pray to pray that God would anoint this man with direction and protection.
The New Hampshire primary is in January. New Hampshire — the Live Free or Die state — is a place where Ron Paul can genuinely win the straw poll by a landslide. He opened his campaign office there today.

The next five months are a HIGHLY CRITICAL JUNCTURE. We must storm America with Ron Paul support it and sustain it until January’s NH primary.
- More specifically, go to all the New Hampshire newspaper and television news websites, and over the next 5 months FLOOD their comment sections with Ron Paul support. Type “New Hampshire Media” into Google and get the list of New Hampshire news organizations. Then every single day from now until January, post comments there.

So, “The One Who Can Beat Obama” is Ron Paul’s new ad slogan. Yes, he can. But didn’t Obama have a campaign slogan “Yes We Can”? If someone can do something that’s fine. But if someone says he “will” do something that is even better and more encouraging.

He has got to be one of the smartest people around. His devoted YOUNG following is really getting these ads right they are the best I’ve ever seen in any campaign.

Don’t be under the illusion that the GOP is going to nominate Ron Paul — it’ll never happen, I think we all know that. Instead, despite what his campaign manager strategically said earlier this week, Paul will run as an independent after the GOP rejects him (why wouldn’t he? Is Perry better than Obama? Hell no). Therefore, we have to think in terms of electing him as an independent candidate, at which point his VP choice will be critical. They aren’t going to make this easy for us folks — this is the fight of our lifetimes, and it’s the last chance saloon for America. It’s going to require massive mobilization of his supporters, something like has never been seen before, and that means, if you have never been involved in a political campaign before (funding, volunteering, etc.) now is the time. This means bringing people into our camp — whoever it is. It means we can’t keep preaching to the choir, we gotta bring new blood aboard continually.

Ron, I hold you, as I hold all of those in Washington who hold office or aspire to it, to this standard: you are either aware of the issues I raised above or you are not. If you NOT aware and either hold office or aspire to office, then your ignorance is so great it is tantamount to criminality. - For sure social security is an important issue, I receive social security payments now and have for the last 5 years. But this year because I turned 65, my social security is automatically CUT to pay for what I am told is my medicare share. Cut from this entitlement (i.e., something we paid for, generally speaking as that is the way it was designed, we had no choice but to do that contribution as it was deducted automatically from our wages, for most of us) and then find that the world’s best medical care system (now that’s a cock itself) wants $$ back for coverage, it’s either that or the individual pays up the ying yang for out of pocket expenses in this not even close perfect world of how medical works. I can barely afford this deduction or the lingering expenses but it matters not to the system. It’s broke and getting pulverized by those we have somehow allowed to exercise control over us. And then YOU come along and question RON PAUL and his intentions to fix our country? Nobody else seems honest in trying to do so. Certainly not Mr. Obama (or whatever his real name is).

    You miss my point. First off … all you paid into socialistic insecurity went into the general treasury of the US, AND NOT ANY ACCOUNT YOU WERE LEAD TO BELIEVE YOU HAD. What you are receiving now is, LEGALLY SPEAKING, just another form of welfare, that Congress can raise, lower, shut off, or require piss tests to receive. THERE NEVER WAS A TRUST FUND WHATSOEVER … otherwise, the program would have never past muster with the Supreme Court. Current recipients are paid from taxes collected TODAY. And since the program is voluntary BY LAW, the people you worked for and NOT the govt. are the ones who forced you into that. Furthermore, your “voluntary participation” made you a federal employee for tax purposes, and so you got stuck with federal, state, and local income taxes. Workers in a few years who participate get stuck for Obamacare.
    
    Ron Paul is most certainly aware of what I am talking about and says nothing on this subject. What little he HAS said backs up the official lie … he said “maybe we should make social security voluntary for younger people” implying that it was somehow required by some law, WHICH IT IS NOT.

As a scientist I do not rely on polls to tell me which way ‘the wind blows’ without reading the actul questions of the poll and WHO the poll surveyed. Moreover I insist on confirming any such findings of a poll with personally collected empirical data. To this end I have talked with several friends who would self describe as modern day liberals and asked them what they think of the current candidates running for the whitehouse next year. Though a few still cling to their yes we can and hope and change lies spewed forth by ‘brand obama’ most have come to realize that Obama is most likely a one term president. Ron Paul is the only candidate my friends have said they would vote against their party (D) for. From a party that is known for voting straight ticket “D” that is a huge statement. That particular statement came from someone who lives in the same district as and voted for Nancy the purse pelosi.

Before you get your knickers in a knot-I am a classic liberty loving liberal-aka a libertarian but refuse to talk only to other libertarians. I encourage each and every person reading this to get outside your comfort zone and talk withyour friends who have differing political views and use Ron Paul as ‘coffee’ to wake them up!

- I’m not surprised Michael. The libertarian message, is essentially socially liberal but fiscally conservative. Most people act libertarian in public. They don’t criticize people’s lifestyles and they don’t spend a bunch of money just to spend it for the sake of those receiving it.

The only place liberals and conservatives can dialogue about is fiscal prudence, personal responsibility, and liberties.
