Would “be a real tragedy” if law is upheld

Appearing on Bloomberg News today, GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul said he suspects that the Supreme Court will rule it is Constitutional for the government to uphold a mandate requiring most Americans to buy health insurance.
Oral arguments begin this week on the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as ‘Obamacare’. All the GOP candidates have pledged to repeal the law.
“I suspect they’re going to rule it constitutional, but that is a big guess out of thin air,” Paul said, adding, “this Supreme Court is slightly better than in the past, [but] they haven’t done a real good job in defending the free market and the original intent of the Interstate Commerce Clause.”
Government lawyers are using the commerce clause as an essential part of their argument for the constitutionality of the individual mandate, which would take effect in 2014.
Paul, who has called Obamacare an “unconstitutional monstrosity”, told Bloomberg that it would “be a real tragedy” if the Supreme Court were to support the law.
During the interview, the Congressman also addressed the ongoing GOP nomination race and defended his vow to stay in the race right up to the national convention.

“Why should we quit and say, ‘OK, it’s getting late, so we all have to get together and quit debating the issues’? No, I think the debate should go on,” he said. “It’s not like this is the first time they didn’t have a candidate by this time in the cycle. The Democrats didn’t have one by this go-around, didn’t happen until June. I don’t think it hurts to debate the issues.”
Paul added that he will not drop out because he is the only candidate “really discussing the alternative to our foreign policy, monetary policy or our financial crisis and spending” as well as “militarism overseas.”
The Congressman also dismissed the idea that he would be offered a spot in a Mitt Romney administration.
“I don’t think that’s likely to happen,” he said. “We have to wait and see what comes out of this election.”
“I think he’s the kind of person that at least listens when I say something,” Paul said. “We just have disagreements on the spending and the policies. I believe in a lot less government than he does.”

Over the weekend Paul’s campaign was boosted by another grassroots money bomb fundraising that netted almost $1 million.
The campaign also announced that it won key victories in the Missouri caucuses, as the Congressman won picked up sizeable amounts of delegates in key districts, despite underhanded establishment efforts to move voters away from Paul and to the other three candidates.

The courts role is to impose order not morality. Articles of law change every decade but morality doesn’t change. America’s golden economic age was founded on slavery and allowed under the constitution. So much for the Supreme court and the history of the not so great United States.

ALEA That shows how much you know. The Supreme Court is Court of last resort in ruling on the Constitutionality of the law. Not to impose order or morality as in totalitarian regimes.
America’s golden age was the two decades following WWII and that can be historically proven. There were no slaves in the 1950s and 60s and the country was never healthier.
Now let’s hear all about how women and minorities were being discriminated against and abortions were illegal during that period. But isn’t it a strange coincidence that when title VII was passed and then a so-called champion of civil rights LBJ plunged us into Vietnam and his great society sham starting to take hold, America stared to turn to shit.
The women’s movement was particularly damaging to the country as I cannot think one single institution that was taken over by females, whom by the way did it by climbing over the backs of black men, education, business, the military, government didn’t degrade and destroy most of them with their constant whining and bitching about all their rights at the expense of everyone else’s.
Slavery was stopped over 150 years ago. All the wealth that was generated through the use of free labor was in many cases went to England the rest was destroyed by the terrible cost in blood and treasure that was the Civil War.
No blaming the demise of the America on slavery is a not too clever way of hiding all the dogooder, Marxist un-Americans tyranny that the so-called progressives have foisted upon a less than intelligent and ignorant American public. Just look what your kind has done with the next generation that now is in school and cannot even read when they graduate. But they know all about Gay and lesbians and other deviant activities. No court enforces morality. Laws change, but right and wrong never change. The logical conclusion is the law does not attempt to impose right over wrong. It merely attempts to impose order (be it a good or a bad order).
Do you understand the basics yet? Maybe you need to cut a paste an answer. I will give you some google time to find a reply. Its hilarious when you guys attempt to look educated.

I know i’m a broken record but, of course it is constitutional but, only to whom they define it to cover. It is word art. It does not apply to “Americans” but it will cover “persons”. “Persons” are considered to be under contract and, that is the term(s) they will rule on. “Persons” and “individuals” are not the “American People”. It’s the definitions they hide behind.
I do not need the Supreme Court to tell me shit. It is unconstitutional, out right. That is nopt how they are going to weigh this out. They will weigh it out to see if those intended to be “covered” will be required to. Simply, any federal employee must comply. Any “U.S. Citizen” must comply. There are three “U.S. Citizens”, which one do they mean? They presume it is you. If you don’t know otherwise,…..
the canadians have a very good healthcare system that they love. i’ve spoken to many of them on this subject. one couple just bought a home here in florida but refuse to apply for citizenship because they don’t want to lose their healthcare. then i spoke to another canuk who owns a home down here, same thing. but america has to spoil things by getting the vile insurance companies involved. if there is an area where big-gov is needed, it’s healthcare and the creation of jobs. america is literally dying for both but have neither.

our health care system here in Canada is not what it used to be. IT is better than many places but with the number of imigration wanting to come here to benifit either of the wealth fare or medical healthcare the cake is being divided more and more and less services are available without long waiting lists. But what we have up here or had put a lot of pressure to the elite class down south who do not want healthcare system accessible to all.
so Canada’s healthcrae system is also exposed to cuts and privatizing many elements in the system. Privatising isn’t bad as long as it creates new jobs not low wage jobs that barely let a family survive on.
The danger with government healthcare is if dictators take control, then beware of vaccination programs or when the world health organisation declares a pendemic (a false pendemic)
with the depopulation plan that is real ( the Georgia guide stones is proof of it’s existance).
Will we see a day where they will blackmale the people: you take the vaccine and we will take good care of you????? ya shure you will!!!!!!! your big pharma friends will make a lot of money right?
But for now here in Canada everyone has access to hospitals. Yes the rich get faster service that has always been and will always be until humanity does evolve to levels where rich or poor does not exist anymore. Everyone gets to eat and have a good education. But we are far from that.
But people have a responsability of maintaining a good health also.Exercice and good eating habits. That reduces the burden on the healthcare system if people remain healthy.
But there is a few evil minds , greedy and selfish minds that want to depopulate this planet.So once we know this, it becomes touchy to trust completely the health care system since they control the banks, the religions, the politicians and the public.
I agree with lessgov when he says most up here like or liked the healthcare system.IT is a more humain system giving availability to hospitals rich or poor. Health care isn’t a luxury good people, it’s a necessity. war and military empires are a luxury not a necessity.specially now we know who finance the wars in the first place. Put that money so people get descent health care for all not only for rich people but for everyone in society.
But there is a hick to such a system. In Canada we have a population of 35- 37 million.
People dying in other countries you cannot blame for wanting to imigrate to benifit of such a healthcare system. 7 billion people on this planet and 40 % of them live on 2 dollars a day?????

It is not blood that I seek and I kinda like Turnips….
The article says most Americans will be required to buy this health insurance. It does not say all.
I won’t be required because I will have gotten rid of all of my government contracts by then.
Here are some of the Government contracts that tie you to the Public National Credit System.
Social Security
Drivers License
State ID
Marriage License
Voter Registration
All Licenses including Fishing and Hunting and Concealed Carry Permits.
Bank Accounts, 401K Plans, Brokerage Accounts, Retierment Accounts.
If you don’t have any of these, then I don’t think the birth certificate will matter but that can be rescinded also.
All these that I have mentioned have adhesion contracts that are written and controlled by the Corprate Government.
And you can’t be fined in their paper currency without having some sort of government contract tying you to the Public National Credit System because you are out of this Federal Jurisdiction.
But you can still have some of their paper currency in your pocket and use it.

I should have added if you don’t have employment in commerce or any money or only maby a small amount in a bank account then the government will have to cover your costs and the other contracts tying you to the Public National Credit System won’t matter. They are looking for people who earn income thru employment that requires the use of the Social Security Contract mostly.
If you are earning Income mowing lawns for example and don’t use or need to use your Social Security Number then you are not elligable for the benifits of Social Security like unemployment compensation or workmans compensation for some examples.
So in this case the government won’t be able to fine you and will cover your health care costs.

I never have had health insurance either! That said I was born and raised to take care of myself by living a healthy lifestyle and haven’t had a cold or flu that I could ever remember! I was taught since i could understand language as a child to only put good stuff in to your body! I can’t say that most Americans live by that example because they don’t or we would not have the most obese nation on the planet!

A few years back everyone in the shop I was working in got sick with the flu as they all called it. They were coughing at work and spewing their germs all over. But I did not get sick. I always eat raw garlic with my steak dinners and I eat a lot of steak dinners. I had heard that raw garlic destroyes harmfull micro-organisms, so I started eating it on a regular basis and it works for me. I have never been sick since I started this practice and no one has ever said I smelled like garlic and I eat alot of it cause I like it. The garlic must be raw though for it to work.

I still have a bank account but only the minimum 25 dollars. Just so I can have a credit card to pay for the Internet and buy stuff on the Internet. If they took my 25 dollars then I would close my account and I don’t have any employment or use my Social Security # any more. I don’t have any reported income. I don’t think that they would take the 25 bucks but by then I will be ready to close the account anyway.
I don’t consider my bank account private.
But a gold krugerrand in my pocket is my private property.
So when I close my account before this legislation takes effect and my Social Security Contract also, then I won’t have to worry about any fines.

Not sure why people keep using the term “Healthcare” because the fact is it’s “MEDICAL SERVICES”
Are people themselves responsible for their HEALTH or is it the govt’s responsibilty? I can understand a broken bone or cut or some other injury but all the other stuff is directly related to ones nutritional habits! Which by the way is the cause of most illinesses! Far as costs of MEDICAL SERVICES goes, the fact that the dollar decline which leads to inflation must not have ever crossed most peoples minds when it comes to the costs of MEDICAL SERVICES! Then add in the costs of govt red tape mandated on doctors! The add in to the equation the massive costs of illegal immigrates who get FREE MEDICAL SERVICES! Do you really think illegal immigrates are going to go buy so-called health insurance? Hell no they won’t! So when they medica keeps harping on those 50 million or so that don’t have health insurance, you can factually state that 40 million of those are illegal immigrates!
Far as western european nations so-called free healthcare system, who do you think subsidises Europe’s free govt welfare(free healthcare system)? Yes you got it! The good ol USA, through the Federal Reserve Banks! Remember 2008 bailouts? European banks got multi-trillions in bailouts at US taxpayer’s expense! Looks like they are going to get trillions more really soon in this bond swap crap the fed chairman helicoper Ben is pushing now!
So when European nations brag about their free healthcare system, they better remember they would not have it unless the USA was subsidising it!
What about people like me that don’t believe in conventional medicine…I would much rather do an alternative treatment!!! Does obamanation care cover alternative medicine?? The United States had a medical system that was superior – the Canadians come here so they won’t have to wait so long for needed procedures.
