Ron Paul has warned his Republican colleagues in the Congress that they better keep their pledge to not raise taxes.

He says if they do ‘capitulate’ on taxes then people will make them pay.

‘If we fall back on these promises after having done so well and getting control of House again, if we capitulate, they will punish the Republican party.

‘They better not do it, or they won’t be very happy with themselves.’ he told Fox News host Sean Hannity during his radio show.

Of a third-party run if he does not get the Republican nomination, Paul said: ‘I have no intention of doing that,’
However, when asked several times by Hannity to rule out an independent bid, he would not.

  1. I like the way Ron Paul handled this interview, although Hannity is very aggravating Paul refused to become upset or confrontational with this jerk. I do enjoy PrisonPlanet and think Alex is doing a good job, but I wish they would quit bring up a Ron Paul third party run. They also allow Ventura to start speculating on this with him as a V.P. What an ego Jessie Ventura has got. Ron Paul chose to run as a Republican, which he has been for years and he is seriously in that race, with most of the other candidates imploding. To my surprise, I think he could win the Republican nomination. So why bring up this ‘libertarian’ stuff now. If Ron Paul and others like Ventura, etc. want to eventually run on a third party ticket, then they need to form their own party and try and seriously displace the Republicans and Democrats and the bogus two party system and the Libertarian Party has fail to accomplish this and will continue to do so.

  2. We really need to place this man in the Whitehouse.

  3. I would be delighted to hear the words “President Ron Paul”, but I could quite possibly be satisfied to have 218 Ron Paul clones in the House and 60 in the Senate. Combine the two and our nation might actually have a chance to become what it should be.

  4. We shouldn’t raise taxes, but we need to increase tariffs to make sure money people save gets invested here in the US instead of overseas. Low taxes and low tariffs is like plugging a refrigerator in while leaving the door open.
