FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda “The government of Sudan confirms that South Sudan and its army are working to widen the aggression and occupy some disputed points and areas by force,” the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Sudan cannot allow the occupying troops to impose their power,” the statement read.
The statement said South Sudanese troops on Monday occupied a disputed area on the border of Sudan’s Darfur and South Sudan’s Western Bahr el-Ghazal state.
This came a day after the South took over another disputed point on the Darfur border, it added.
The ministry also renewed its accusation against the South of conducting “aggression and military operations” in South Kordofan and Blue Nile states.
“This is a plan to continue the war and disturb peace and security and stability along the border between Sudan and South Sudan,” it stated.
The statement came more than a week after the South said it had fully withdrawn its troops from Sudan’s border region of Heglig.
South Sudanese forces occupied oil-producing Heglig for 10 days, promoting Khartoum to launch airstrikes on the south Sudanese side of the border.
The air attack and border clashes following the occupation of Heglig were the most serious fighting since South Sudan gained independence in July.
Khartoum accuses South Sudan of backing ethnic rebels in South Kordofan and Blue Nile, and using rebels from Sudan’s violence-stricken Darfur region in its operations.
Juba denies that claims but forces belonging to Darfur’s Justice and Equality Movement were seen alongside South Sudanese troops during the occupation of Heglig .
