A 56-year-old man found dead in his Adelaide Hills home suffered gunshot wounds, police say.
The man’s body was found in the bedroom of the property near Charleston on Wednesday morning when his brother went to the house.
Detective Inspector Mark Trenwith said investigations were still in their early stages, with crime scene police and ballistics experts involved.
He said while a post-mortem examination was yet to be conducted the man’s injuries did not appear to be self-inflicted and his death was considered suspicious.
The dead man was last heard from in a phone call at about 9pm (CST) on Tuesday.
He lived at the property with his daughter but she was away overnight.
