Kentucky Senator Rand Paul (R) on Wednesday took to the Senate floor to call for a vote of no confidence in Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, one of the stalwarts of President Barack Obama’s administration.
“The current Administration’s gross mismanagement of the U.S. economy, at the helm of which has sat Secretary Geithner through financial debacle and decline, must end now,” Paul said in a statement.
In August, Paul called for Geithner to resign, claiming he failed to institute policies to curb rising unemployment, prices and debt.
Other Republicans, including presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN), have also called for Geithner to resign but this is the first time anyone has proposed a vote of no confidence. Unlike parliamentary systems, the vote would be purely symbolic.

Geithner takes his orders directly from the Bilderbergers and other NWO factions. Every single action that he takes and dictates is meant to destroy America and Americans. This criminal is Obama’s Herman Goering. Heil Obama!
GOD BLESS RAND PAUL!
Finally the word and the courage is getting out.
largely symbolic vote that has power?
of coarse the US treasury is a private bank and we cant tell them what to do, my heavens no! me oh my goodness no!!!
After all its not like Obumbles could go into a major manufacturing plant and demand the resignation of the head……oh wait…..he DID do that to general motor’s now didnt he?!?
seems to me if the biggest most greedy bank in the world fucked up, we should bill them!!!!!!!!!!!
Too bad Ran Paul can’t push to have Obummer impeached for driving this country into debt.
