Seven people have escaped unharmed from a burning house in inner Melbourne.
Fire crews were called to the brick share house in Rae Street, Fitzroy north, about 5.30pm (AEST) on Saturday.
They contained the blaze to a bedroom, while the rest of the house was damaged by heat and smoke.
The house had no smoke alarms fitted.
The fire sparked after a bar heater ignited combustible items.
