A pilgrimage of 15,000 indigenous people from Simojovel, Chiapas is marching in a peaceful action to raise the demand to the state government that they do not want to be ruled by narco-politics.

The pilgrimage will arrive in Tuxla-Gutierrez, completing more than 240 kilometers in cold weather, rain and heat to denounce that in their city as well as in various regions of the state, there is already an evident institutional breakdown and that the situation in Chiapas is similar as in states like Guerrero which are controlled by organized crime.
