The ‘Stepford’ Candidate

Members of the political establishment used to be fun to listen to and argue with, but the collapse of their system has become so much like an avalanche that they have no time for intelligent discourse. The latest example is found in Connecticut Governor Malloy’s characterizing Ron Paul as “an idiot” because of Ron’s factually-based critique of FEMA’s response — or lack thereof — to natural disasters. Lest anyone miss the height of his reasoning skills, the governor repeated the charge of “idiocy” in his interview.

What could account for the governor’s words? It then dawned on me: he is the governor of Connecticut, and I remembered the film, The Stepford Wives. In it, a woman creates a system that turns the wives of Stepford, Connecticut, into physically attractive, robotic humanoids. Toward the end of the film she is asked why she had selected this town for her experiment. She replied that she wanted her program to draw no particular attention, so that the resulting automatons would fit in without much notice. What better place to do so than Connecticut, she answered?

Has Governor Malloy found a constituency in this state?

  1. Its been 3 days Governor… where is FEMA?! Plus Paul would end the wars and bring the money back to the state so the state can take care of its citizens and the citizens will have more money and resources to take care of themselves!

  2. If anyone is interested, here are some civivilian photos of the FEMA camp in Hardin MT taken yesterday by a civilian. Looks like a biggin!

Also interesting are those creepy FEMA murals displayed at the Bank of America in NC, similar to the ones at the Denver Airport:
Pretty good interpretation of the pictures imo. Always hidden in plain sight with those buggers!

  3. Notice how he says any Texan who criticizes FEMA is a hypocrite. Like every Texan has to agree to receive FEMA assistance just because their state received it. And he didn’t even know about Galveston. He could only think of wildfires as natural disasters in Texas like they don’t get hurricanes ten times as bad as his Connecticut.

That governor is completely ignorant of Ron Paul. Or he knows better and is a diabolical liar.
    Which is it?

    .

  4. Whatever mainstream, bankster owned, globalist promoting media says, believe the OPPOSITE. We love you RON PAUL. Go get ‘em in 2012. HE IS BRILLIANT !!

  5. Malloy’s views are shared by a majority of “Northeasterners”. I’m a “Westerner” but with some “Northeast” roots. Generally, the Northeatern states are ruled by parasitic dogma and those who are most comfortable are government employed, government retired, or government protected.

  6. I really dont come here to listen to MSM but it really doesnt matter anymore because thats about all the news there is. When Nashville was hit with the floods last yr local folks banned together for “free” and helped each other out(like people in every states used to do). We didnt cry to femanazi to help although i believe they came in after the water receeded to tell people they couldnt help because they were broke. Now this douchebag claims they have 900 million budget, i thought RP said they were broke, which is it?

  7. Melloy looks like your typical obstinate redneck aparatchik that I would just love to slap acrooss the mouth before he can open it to reveal his trivial rudeness. He should have a job in the ZOO playin with the apes!

    • More like Malloy the one in the cage
and the APES playin’ with HIM.

  8. You might as well just call Dr. Ron Paul a “racist” as apposed to an “idiot,” because it’s just as nonsensical.

  9. We should all ignore this BS. Just like the Yellow Stream Media ignores the real issues and the real candidates.

    END THE FED
    RON PAUL 2012

  10. Speaking as a Connecticuter, let me say that Gov. Malloy just whacked us all with the largest tax increase in our state’s history (and that’s saying something). Yet, let’s still run to the Federal government for money.

  11. Like Kidman’s Character at the end of Stepford wives, residents of Connecticut should be saying, “I can do better.”

  12. This was a tropical storm with mild flooding….um get over it you Jack A$$….

  13. Megyn, BFD!

  14. God damn it!
You people just keep taking the “bait”.
I was more pissed off at the “Megan Kelly” wannabe who set the questions up on a tee for
    Malloy to swing at.
…and when he does swing, you’re all pissed off.
    Typical.

  15. They can’t defend the indefensible so all these pathetic political and media minions of the global criminal elite have left are transparent lies and name-calling. Actually, that’s all they’ve ever had—it’s just more obvious to most people that they’re propaganda is invalid, so why go through the tedious exercise of repeating the same tired worn-out, ineffectual excuses for the inexcusable? Name calling is just so much easier and probably significantly more efficacious in keeping pacified any remaining sheeple who might happen to stumble upon the babblings of the mainstream propaganda machine. Except for murder, name calling is really the criminal crème’s only remaining and marginally effective tactic.

  16. Conneticut still has a few great antique stores. (Assuming you can still readily navigate the backwoods!)

  17. I have always supported Ron Paul. I am a paleoconservative
in the Pat Buchanan line, who opposed both Gulf Wars.

But I will say this. We need FEMA. We can do a better job,
but it is well within the Federal government’s constitutional role
to provide emergency relief services. The states cannot coordinate
support relief services on the same level as FEMA.

    It is a necessary function.

    • With restraint. They currently are like the CIA–no agency is allowed to monitor them and their ranks include FBI, Secret Services, etc…

    • The “Constitution” authorizes the “government” to provide emergency relief services? Can you please show me what section of the constitution authorizes this. Im serious not being sarcastic.

    • We also need a national guard, but are these organizations working for the benefit of the people?

Are they running smoothly with intelligent programs in mind?

Are they open to scrutiny and suggestion? Or are they closed bureaucracies which only protect their position of authority, scarfing up millions and failing to deliver in an emergency?

And some questions that remain unanswered: did they do their mandated jobs in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina? Or did they exacerbate the crisis? Who were they working for and working against?

      Just asking.

    • you have the government, the army, the navy, the marines, the national guard, the police, the fire department, the FBI, the NSA, the CIA, and not the DHS, but they’re all ill-equipped to handle emergency responses???? We need FEMA?????

    • There should be a federal level organization to help with exigent circumstances.
But the function of this federal level organization should be one of a clearing house, one that helps to connect parts of each state level Emergency Response Organization, to another.

      Distributed response, Concentrated organization.

I’d say a limited scope federal organization that operates on a weekly timetable, does ‘promote the general Welfare’

Extra Constitutional is not the same as UnConstitutional.

    • The “Constitution” authorizes the “government” to provide emergency relief services? Can ANYONE please show me what section of the constitution authorizes this. Im serious not being sarcastic.

      • They try to pluck it out of that so-called “fuzzy area” in between
“provide for the common defense” “promote the general welfare”.

But it IS a REACH. FEMA is a recent creation of NWO planners in
the Carter administration. Anybody remember how close we were
getting to the position we’re in right now when Carter was in office?

Instead of arguing over what role FEMA should play, the QUESTION
should be: “WHY DO WE NEED FEMA AT ALL?”

Its amazing most people seem to think the history of the world
began when they themselves were born. The U.S. had many serious
emergencies disasters before FEMA was a twinkle in a socialist’s
eye, and THE PEOPLE handled them just fine.

Matter of fact I like to use the Johnstown PA flood of 1886 as a good
example. After weeks of heavy rains an earthen dam on the Conemaugh
River above Johnstown suddenly gave way, sending a wall of water
down the valley toward Johnstown. It wiped out all but a few buildings
in the town, piling most of the wreckage against a stone railroad bridge.

With all the cookstoves in houses in those days the wreckage caught
fire, incinerating people trapped in the pile. Even in these days of
remarkable technology nobody could have reached the victims in time.

Anyhow at very least 2,000 people were drowned or burned in an hour’s
time. They estimate the death toll could have been 5,000. With everything
wiped out there was no way to tell.

When people miles downriver started seeing wreckage bodies floating
by they immediately organized a relief effort. All rail and road access to
Johnstown had been wiped out, so people began hauling horse-wagon
loads of tents, clothing, food, water medicine over muddy mountain
        paths toward the town.

Volunteers came on foot and by horseback. Word spread by mouth and
telegraph that fellow Americans needed help. Steam trainloads of supplies
began arriving in HOURS to the railhead closest to Johnstown, then were
carried over those mountain trails to the disaster.

WITHIN 8 HOURS, with NO helicopters, NO 4-wheel drives, NO radios,
NO army, (the PA state militia arrived 2 days later), the thousands of
homeless people of Johnstown had shelter, hot meals, clean water,
        warm clothing medical help.

FAST FORWARD TO 2005, ALMOST 120 YEARS LATER. Hurricane Katrina
struck New Orleans. Americans were eager to send help right away.
Church groups had truckloads of supplies on board headed for N.O.
Local citizens with boats were ready to rescue Americans from the flood
        water.

BUT a not-so-small “problem” developed called “F.E.M.A.” FEMA officials
came on the scene and almost immediately BEGAN F*CKING THE WHOLE
SITUATION UP! Whereas supplies and rescue craft could have been on
the scene DOING RESCUE, everything GROUND TO A HALT. Hungry
people were trapped out on bridges for 7 DAYS! Food fresh water
TOOK AS LONG AS 10 DAYS to finally get to the disaster. Hospitals were
ABANDONED and the sick allowed to DIE unattended!

Don’t ANY of you say FEMA around ME! Those CRIMINALS are responsible
for THOUSANDS OF DEATHS INJURIES. The AMERICAN PEOPLE can
handle whatever emergencies arise just as they did 100+ years ago
ON THEIR OWN WITHOUT GOV’T IDIOTS GETTING IN THE WAY.

        • Excellent summary, Marion.

I saw a PBS special on the Johnstown catastrophy years ago. And if memory serves, the dam broke because the elites who were vacationing in the high country above the town ignored the signs that the dam was not reliable and authorities turned a blind eye to the problem.

Typical! But we have always known that the average citizen is on his own unless the community of men and women pick up the yoke and provide.

  18. This Idiot governor made Ron Paul’s point. “Were spending 900 million dollars a week in wars” Well mr Dumb ass governor, if your people werent forced to pay the unconstitutional taxs that fund these wars, they could use their own money to help themselves. But he is so stupid he said “I really dont understand what he’s talking about” Why do you need FEMA when you could help yourself, oh but we forgot, we have to pay for WAR? Damn idiot politician.

    • FREEWAY BLOG: “It’s the War Budget, Stupid!”

  19. Overheard on Democracy Now (Amy Goodman’s vehicle on alternative radio) this morning.

The major story dealt with corporations which are not paying any taxes; in fact, many of the biggies ask for and got tax rebates because their profits are from overseas subsidiaries, so their books don’t show US profits. In some cases, their CEOs got more in pay and bonuses than the company paid in taxes in recent years.

Who picks up the slack? The American tax payer. The corporations have a scam called “deferred taxes” and now let me see if I can untangle this bit of chicanery…they say they will pay up but must defer payment until they bring their assets back to the US, which would be never in most instances.

Very complicated but then when you can confuse the public and pay off the government officials who oversee these trivial matters, who needs to be transparent?

Can you believe conservative spokespeople and pundits are sidestepping this issue altogether while the drone of the coming election becomes static overriding common sense? The president should address this headon and stop dancing around his podium, hoodwinking the electorate.

Dems are afraid to criticize this bumbling administration for various reason, none valid. If others do, they are labeled racist. Damned if we do and damned if we don’t….

  20. Connecticut Dan Malloy, who has revealed the secret to the world that Dr. Ron Paul is “an idiot,” is a great statesman who is the most important supporter of cross-dressers’ rights to enter the public restrooms designated for the opposite sex. I’m not kidding. Really, I’m not lying. Malloy is king (or queen?) of the “transgender” pissing rights movement. Look it up. Spread the word.

  21. i just wanna bitch slap this guy .

  22. i hear mayor malloy is like a foster son to joe lieberman… and till this very day they are “very affectionate with eachother” i think we all get the picture

  23. I thought you were an idiot before you said Ron Paul was, now I grade you gov. lower then idiot ,what might that be? turd comes to mind. willing to put your money where your mouth is gov. I will bet you anything you wish that on IQ test, Ron Paul will kick your ass. wonder how the country got by before fema gov? ask people in New Orleans what they think of your pet fema and see what you get. best thing we could do is get rid of fema and any and all programs like it. if the people of your state are smart they will also remove you in next election sound like a bitch in heat to me gov.

  24. Hey Gov. Malloy, you’re an idiot!

  25. just another idiot that would rather the nanny state government fix the problem instead of working it out in the state for them self’s. Oh and yes don’t worry the fed’s can just print more money, no reason to cut the illegal war budget. the only idiot here seems to be the one giving his assessment of why he has his hand out.

  26. Unprovable speculation to say how many lives were saved by FEMA for one. He’s begging for aid on behalf of the state and couldn’t be in a more biased position for two. He purports that we were like a third world country before FEMA existed and there would be no emergency response infrastructure without it, which is patently absurd.

  27. this guy is a gov of conn and he is calling ron paul an idiot. atleast ron paul answers questions without name calling.the question made him uncomfortable cause he knows he would be stealing thousands . he is a thief he looks like one and talks like one .

  28. What is very sad about this is this guy mentions the military spending when Paul is the one who said even though these program’s shouldn’t exist lets cut the overseas spending and spend the money here people call this mans office and let him know how much of an idiot he is

  29. Snot nosed momma’s boy.

  30. It figures. Another non military politician shooting his mouth off. Malloy calling Ron Paul is like the pot calling the kettle black, because he was found to be dyslexic in grade school and labeled as being a “slow learner” and “retarded” by his teachers. Of course he goes to college and graduates Magna Cum Laude. It figures
