Turkey hosts Iranian cultural week

Organized by Iran’s cultural office in Ankara and Iranian consul general in Erzurum in collaboration with the Turkish Dadash Film Festival, the event was inaugurated during a ceremony held on May 13.

The festival was scheduled to screen about 12 Iranian cinematic productions with Turkish subtitles such as Asghar Farhadi’s Nader and Simin: A Separation, Ahmad-Reza Motamedi’s Alzheimer, Alireza Rayisian’s 40 Years Old along with some other movies.

Photo exhibition of Iranian cinema was also mounted at this cultural week presenting 51 photos and tablets of the country’s renowned filmmakers and actors in different genres of drama, comedy, children movies.

The pictures of some Iranian well-known cineastes such as Reza Kianian, Ebrahim Hatami-Kia, Kamal Tabrizi, Ali Nasirian are among the displayed photos.

An Iranian music ensemble has been dispatched from Iran to present traditional performances at the festival.
