A treaty being hammered out this month at the United Nations — with Iran playing a key role — could expose the records of America’s gun owners to foreign governments — and, critics warn, eventually put the Second Amendment on global trial.

International talks in New York are going on throughout July on the final wording of the so-called Arms Trade Treaty, which supporters such as Amnesty International USA say would rein in unregulated weapons that kill an estimated 1,500 people daily around the world. But critics, including the National Rifle Association’s Wayne LaPierre, warn the treaty would mark a major step toward the eventual erosion of the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment gun-ownership rights.

Americans “just don’t want the UN to be acting as a global nanny with a global permission slip stating whether they can own a gun or not,” LaPierre said. “It cheapens our rights as American citizens, and weakens our sovereignty,” he warned in an exclusive interview with FoxNews.com from the halls of the UN negotiating chambers.

The world body has already been criticized for appointing Iran to a key role in the talks, even as Tehran stands accused by the UN of arming Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s bloody crackdown on rebels. The Obama administration in 2009 reversed Bush administration policy by agreeing to take part in the talks. But in another exclusive interview with FoxNews.com, the top government official on the issue under President Bush says he’s seen nothing new to convince him the U.S. should be at the table today.

Lots of other Duropean and Arab countries allow their population to own shooting riflss and other weapons. It’s more or less mandatory in agricultural countries. If there is any problrm, it’s that thry can’t find dnough people wanting to shoot and eat rabbit.

Arab countries celebrate just about everything by firing AK47′s into the air – even if it does mean the more than occassional injury.

Oh yeah, this article just reminded me. W Bush didn’t even particitpate in talks with Arab world leaders. Dubya’s policy was “It’s my way or the highway”. The only time his henchman would visit and talk to any world leader was with a laundry list of demands and hoops for that country to jump through. Well they would have to go after the gun shops across America first.
Because they need a government license to sell firearms.
Because they use the paper money system also known as the Public National Credit System.
That system is in direct violation of Article 1 sec. 10 clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution.

But the gun shop owners will probably not be reimbursed so they may put their guns on sale at a low price.

It’s a homocide program that usually shows a few black males killing other black gangbangers in Miami, Dallas and Birmingham. When the murder weapon is found (a handgun) the police NEVER trace the serial number back to the real registered owner…never! Know why? Because gangbangers, murderers and thieves never register their own gun and use it to commit a crime. It is always a stolen gun, or a gun bought off the street. This is so clear that it is unbelievable that it has come down to this. There is no way anybody is going to CONVINCE world opinion that gun ownership is any kind of THREAT to humanity. Clearly, it is just the opposite. It is, CLEARLY, the one real protection anyone has against tyranny and cabalic control. . . and along the way we might have to protect ourselves against crime, as well. This “argument” is un-winnable by the control-freaks in any forum of exchange of logical integrity.
The corporate control association has the technology outlined. Society must conform to the future profits they see being generated through these specific technologies.

You could argue that weapons sold by gun stores
may be stolen resold. and used by criminals.

The other argument is that a fear of gun-crime is scaring potential residents away.

This logic could be extended to preventing businesses from setying up.
