Former Gov. Jesse Ventura dropped by Minneapolis to support ‘Occupy’ protesters. Ventura pointed out that the face of the movement cannot be dictated by Democrats or Republicans because both parties were “bought and paid for” – and that he never took a dime in corporate money to get elected.

Expansion of consumer demand is the key to getting the unemployed working again, but a large slice of that demand is being syphoned off by the drug trade. Instead of buying a new television, that money is being spent on purchasing illegal drugs. Imagine 500 billion annually being taken out of the pockets of consumers and sent to foreign drug cartels. Chasing the drug dealers back to where they came from would jump start the American economy and put sober Americans back to work.

THINK ABOUT THE GOVERNMENTS BUDGET.

But what if things do get violent, allot of americans own guns (unlike europeans and middle eastern(under a dictatorship) people.

So what if it turns violent, and police/army continues to follow orders… you get a bloodbath, now after the bloodbath (presuming the army/police gave up or get a change of heart) you need a interim regime to restore order and prevent anarchy. Am I right?

Now how do you/we make sure that interim regime does not turn into a totalitarian one.

It’s nice to see Jesse Ventura back in the states after fleeing to Mexico when America went to the dark side last year. The United States cannot join forces with Darth Vadar and the death star and come back and act like nothing happened. On the other hand, public workers in Greece not appearing for work is a much more effective form of mass protest that will affect the status quo.
