A woman fighting a terminal form of bone cancer is trying to raise money to help pay bills with a few weekend garage sales, but the city of Salem says she’s breaking the law and is shutting her down.

Jan Cline had no idea, but the city of Salem has a clear law that states a person can only have three yard sales a year.

Cline has been selling her stuff in the backyard for a few weekends and said she thought she’d be fine by keeping the sale out of everyone’s way.

“It’s a struggle,” Cline says. “It’s a struggle for me because I’m very independent, used to taking care of myself.”

I heard it was shut down because she was selling pictures of Obama and Guiliani eating Newt Gingriches dingleberries at a D.C. barbecue.
So, when you say people in Amerika are free, what exactly do you mean?
- It really annoys me to see news people always rationalizing everything. “Well there’s a good reason why you can only have a few garage sales per year.” And, it’s called losing your freedom!!!
From Gardens to lemon aide stands and now yard sales. Why cant a sick woman sell her own material within the limits of her own property? When will people get fed up? How much longer must we wait for revolution, meaning non violent rebellion? I for one am fed up. Im tired of the ever further reaching long arm of the law. I am ready to stand up and shout from the window “Im mad as hell and Im not going to take it anymore” Ive stood up for my rights before which cost me a job and was hired back three days later. Lesson learned from this, never stand alone unless you are ready for the consiquences. We as the people need to stand against this tyranny as one

  People of Salem had to fight to be allowed to keep some chickens in their backyards. (see salemchickens dot com) They won the right to be able to get a license to do so.

The city of Salem is famous for that. This time the witch hunt is not against witches, but people who are trying to pay for their medical bills and those who are free thinking Patriots who care about preserving the rights and freedoms of everyone.

    - mendobud640 just to let you know the reason I’m doing this protest is to raise awarness of police brutalitty and that it must stop and I too am a victim of police brutalitty due too me being disabled and calling for help to get my drug using brother’s drugs out of my apartment. I have two witnessess to confirm this but I can’t give their names due to privacy reasons. My two friends (also the witnessess to my beating at the hands of the corrupt Sarnia police) and I politely were letting the officers know that I’m disabled due to a mental illness (Obsesive Compulsive Disorder also known as OCD) and the police just beat me up and one officer gave me a death threat.
      
      The corrupt psycho cop’s exact quote was:
      
      “If I ever see you anywhere in public I WILL PUT A BULLET IN YOU”RE HEAD EVEN IF IT IS IN PUBLIC IN FRONT OF A LOT PEOPLE.”
      
      This corrupt cop was a complete psychopath and the other corrupt police officers who were in my apartment did nothing to stop him because corrupt police officers stick together like a corrupt police brotherhood. I would rather call their so called corrupt police brotherhood a gang of murderous tyrant psychopathic thugs because that is what they truly are. What’s really sad is that the Sarnia, Ontario, police force is corrupt.
      
      Also just to let you know that my two friends were about to fight back but the corrupt police officers had their guns out and even though the corrupt police officers had their firearms out my friends would still fight back against the corrupt police officers even at the risk of being killed in order to protect me. Now that is true friendship and honor and you know what I would do the exact same to protect my friends, family and our loved ones.
