On January 23, 2023, the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, announced a new federal investment of $40 million to enable the Toronto-based Canadian quantum computing company Xanadu Quantum Technologies Inc. to build and commercialize the world’s first photonic-based, fault-tolerant quantum computer.
Xanadu is owned by a Chinese investor!!!
What is being called “the Quantum Computer of Québec” will be the only platform in Canada to operate IBM’s Quantum System One. IBM’s other locations include Germany, South Korea, Japan, and the United States.
So there are now 5 major super computers being installed!
Xanadu launched Xanadu Cloud at the end of 2019.
