Young Qld man critical after car hits tree

A young man is fighting for his life after his ute ran off the road and hit a tree in Brisbane’s south.

The driver, believed to be 19, was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries, police say.

The crash occurred at Mt Gravatt just before 4pm (AEST) on Wednesday.

A young female passenger, believed to be 16, was taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
