In a possible sign of thaw, Turkey’s Erdogan talks with new Israeli president / The Times of Israel, 12 July 2021

President Isaac Herzog spoke Monday evening with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a rare direct communication between leaders of the two countries after over a decade of fraught relations.

Erdogan congratulated Herzog on being sworn into his new role as president last week, according to the President’s Office.

“The presidents emphasized in their call that the ties between Israel and Turkey are of great importance to the security and the stability of the Middle East,” according to the Israeli readout of the call, “and there is great potential for cooperation between the countries in many fields, in particular the areas of energy, tourism and technology.”

The readout also stated that Herzog and Erdogan stressed “the great importance of maintaining contact and ongoing dialogue despite the differences of opinion, with the goal of making positive steps toward a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which will also contribute to the improvement of Israeli-Turkish relations.”

The Turkish readout of the call largely mirrored that of Israel, though it noted Erdogan’s call for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to be “settled through a two-state, lasting and comprehensive solution within the framework of UN resolutions.”

Palestinian Authority President Abbas facilitated a call between presidents of Israel and Turkey / i24NEWS, July 13, 2021

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas communicated to new Israeli head of state Isaac Herzog that Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan was interested in resuming contacts with Israel, Channel 13 News reported.

Presidents Herzog and Erdogan spoke for 40 minutes on Monday evening, the first direct contact between Turkish and Israeli leaders in many years.

This call comes after discussions Saturday between Erdogan and Abbas, with the former assuring the PA head that Ankara would not “remain silent in the face of Israeli oppression in Palestine,” according to the Turkish presidency.

Erdogan has set himself up as a defender of the Palestinian cause during his 18 years in power, as prime minister or president, and he regularly accuses Israel of “terrorism” against the Palestinians.

During the exchange with the Israeli president, Erdogan insisted on the “very great importance” of relations between Israel and Turkey for security and stability in the Middle East.

Extreme heat boils Canada’s waters and shellfish / New York Post, July 12, 2021

According to researchers, an estimated 1 billion marine animals, including mussels, clams, and sea stars, died after a record-breaking heatwave sizzled along Canada’s Pacific coast in late June, highlighting its effects on an ecosystem not used to extreme weather events. Bryan Wood reports.

“It’s never smelled like this, never smelled like this before.”

A recent heatwave is turning some of Canada’s Pacific waters into a graveyard.

On Denman Island in the Baynes Sound, mussels, clams and sea stars are being plucked fresh out of the water but they’re already baked to a crisp.

In the surrounding Salish Sea coastline, tens of thousands of oysters and shellfish have also been found cooked to death.

Iran accuses Israel of June attack on civilian nuclear site / ABC News, July 6, 2021

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Iran accused Israel on Tuesday of mounting a sabotage attack on a nuclear facility near Tehran last month, the country’s state-run news agency reported as authorities acknowledged for the first time that the mysterious assault had caused structural damage to the site.

Authorities announced in late June that they had prevented saboteurs from attacking a site located in Karaj, a city about 40 kilometers (25 miles) northwest of the Iranian capital. They gave no details about what the targeted building belonging to the Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency contained, or how it was targeted.

The sudden admission last month came just days after the election victory of the country’s hard-line judiciary chief, Ebrahim Raisi, and followed a series of other attacks on Iran’s nuclear program, including the killing of a top nuclear scientist.

Putin taunts US saying their world dominance is ‘OVER’ & threatens to strike back if any ‘boundaries are crossed’ / The Sun, June 30, 2021

The Russian president issued the stark warning during a televised Q&A on Wednesday, during which he also boasted that even if Russia had sunk HMS Defender it would not have caused World War Three.

Putin boldly claimed his navy could have attacked the ship in the Black Sea because the West knows “full well that they can’t win in that war”.

During his annual “Direct Line” call in show, in which citizens can submit queries for the president, he spoke of how the “period of unipolar world is over”.

“No matter what sanctions are imposed on Russia, no matter what the scaremongering, Russia is developing and in some respects our country has surpassed the European countries and even the US,” he said.

While Putin said the nation would not be taking steps that would be harmful to themselves, he said if boundaries were crossed, they would find “asymmetrical ways” to respond.

“I hope the United States will change this attitude not only towards us, but also towards their other allies,” he said.

Putin went on to say that the world was “changing dramatically” – something he said the United States understood.

4. The rise of the Beast

A mouth was given to him to speak boasts and blasphemies. He was also given authority to act for 42 months. He began to speak blasphemies against God: to blaspheme His name and His dwelling—those who dwell in heaven. And he was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. He was also given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation. All those who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name was not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered. (Revelation 13:4-8)

Has Erdogan achieved his goal to build his ‘New Turkey’? / Al-Monitor, July 16, 2021

Some dates serve as milestones. For Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, July 15 is one of them. The failed coup attempt to remove Erdogan on July 15, 2016, has become the founding myth of “New Turkey” in his historiography.

For five years, the anniversary of July 15 has become a celebration of Erdogan’s victory that helped him to replace the country’s parliamentary democracy with his one-man rule under his executive presidency. The date also marks the commemoration of the 251 “martyrs” who lost their lives in suppressing the coup attempt.

The passion for underscoring the coup attempt has not faded after five years. It is not because the trauma of the coup attempt is still vivid in the minds of the people. Rather, it is because Erdogan’s regime still feels short of legitimizing their rewriting of Turkey’s history.

I penned an article for Al-Monitor, published on July 17, 2016 — while the coup was underway — in which I wrote that the attempted coup on the night of July 15 raised more questions than answers. Ironically, after five years, this is still the case. The questions raised remained unanswered, and the mystery around the coup attempt has not been solved.

The government did not waste one second before it claimed that its erstwhile ally, cleric Fethullah Gulen who resides in the United States, was the culprit of the coup attempt. Any institution and individuals affiliated with him at any level are considered terrorists and members of the so-called Fethullah Gulen Terror Organization (FETO).

In Turkey’s official parlance, the connection between Gulen and the coup attempt is a foregone conclusion. Anybody that might question the validity of the allegation would be in trouble. The countries that hesitate to buy official Turkish claims have been condemned as enablers of Gulen’s treacherous plot against Turkey. The United States and the European Union — the Western world in general — are also implicated in this narrative, as the Islamist and nationalist constituency of the current regime believe Western powers also supported the coup attempt.

The heavy crackdown in the aftermath of the coup wasn’t limited to Gulenists. The crackdown targeted the entire opposition; the leaders, members, and followers of the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party; and journalists.

The aftermath of the coup attempt also saw a referendum on constitutional change, which brought transformation to an executive presidency that ditches any sort of check and balance mechanism. The Judiciary lost its independent status and became subservient to the president as a result of the constitutional change. The prime ministry post was annulled, and the whole executive authority was transferred to the president.

The Turkish presidential system has no resemblance to the American or French models. It has more common features with the caudillo type of presidencies that prevailed in South American countries during the Cold War.

Whatever lies in the future for Erdogan, it is fair to say he achieved the New Turkey that he envisaged.

His problem is that he could not consolidate his power over his New Turkey. If he loses — and that’s still a big if, and it’s also unlikely that he would step down gracefully — the painful process of dismantling his New Turkey would be unleashed.

If he wins in 2023, then July 15 will indeed be registered as the most crucial milestone in Erdogan’s odyssey to absolute power.

5. The rise of the False Prophet

Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted the power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. (Revelation 13:11-18)

Is Pope Francis Running for the ‘False’ Prophet? / Kingdom Economics, March 16, 2021

We are living in the Last Days of human government and the events happening now prove this to me! Recently our global Pope visited Iraq and the city of Ur. What does this mean when I think of eschatology? To me, this means that our global Pope may be running for this End-Time role called the FALSE PROPHET.

The visit to Ur is where Nimrod and his crew built the Tower of Babel. This location is also near the historical city of Babylon (also in Iraq). Our global Pope has said that he is for a global ecumenical church which would invite all believers to join. Pope Francis is also for a global economic reset and a global currency. His rhetoric also reveals his commitment to a New World System run by the elites (himself included).

So is Pope Francis the False Prophet of Revelation 13 and 17? This is possible. If he is not, he sure seems to be running for this role. End-time events are moving rapidly towards the Mark of the Beast, Global Government, and an Economic Reset. The other issue is the coming Temple of Yahweh which our Jewish believers desire to build on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Pope Francis is also in favor of this facility. He sure seems like a False Prophet to me.

The building of the 3rd Temple on the Temple Mount is a sure sign that end-time events are here. All the trappings for this Temple are ready. All that is needed is for a political decision to be made to BUILD. Recently, some high level Muslims are favoring this event with their comments and tweets. It appears that the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Agsa Mosque are not so important going forward. This means that the decision to build the 3rd Temple could be soon.

6. Global Persecution of Christians

Terrorists are attacking and burning down churches across Canada with impunity.

It’s a reality most Canadians only thought possible for Middle Eastern countries like Syria, where ISIS has bombarded and razed dozens of Christian heritage sites in the name of Islam.

Now, after nearly six years of Liberals calling Canadians racist and fanning the flames of hatred, hate crimes are becoming commonplace against Christians in Canada. Things have gotten so bad that even our American neighbours are beginning to worry.

Rightly so.

The Counter Signal has kept a close eye on these terrorist attacks, reporting on the scene just hours after a fire in a refugee church.

Our information shows that since June, there have been 45 attacks on Christian and mainly Roman Catholic congregations. Of those, 17 of them have been scorched or burnt to a crisp in suspicious circumstances.

The sole purpose of this full-fledged assault is to strike fear in ordinary Canadians who simply want to practice their faiths. Far-left shock troops are using First Nations tragedies to advance their political goals and normalize violence against Canadians.

Despite the deflection by the Liberal media corps, people are waking up to the hateful Marxist ideology shared by these terrorists and egged on by Canada’s progressive elites, and fortunately, more evidence is being uncovered to identify these terrorists and bring them to justice.

Methodist Church allows same-sex marriage in ‘momentous’ vote / BBC News, June 30, 2021

The Methodist Church has become the largest religious denomination in Britain to permit same-sex marriages.

A vote to change the definition of marriage at the Methodist Conference on Wednesday overwhelmingly passed by 254 in favour with 46 against.

Freedom of conscience clauses mean ministers will not be forced to conduct such weddings if they oppose the move.

Same-sex marriage is not allowed in the Church of England or the Roman Catholic Church.

However it is welcomed in the Scottish Episcopal Church, the United Reformed Church and the Quakers in Britain.

The Methodist Church is Britain’s fourth largest Christian denomination with about 164,000 members across more than 4,000 churches.

8. The Formation of a One-World Government

A one-world government is a goal popular with liberals, globalists, and others ranging from the moderate “Right” to the Left and far-Left, in which all the nations on Earth will (supposedly willingly) abandon their sovereignty to the will of the United Nations or some other worldwide government. Liberals and globalists see this as a utopian goal, while opponents see it as a dystopia.

A one-world government is an ultimate goal of the Left. They believe in the concept that humanity is progressing for the better, and they want to create a utopia where humanity is unified and where there are no wars, conflicts, or borders (cultural and national). Supranational organizations such as the United Nations, European Union, World Trade Organization, and the Paris climate agreement, appear to be the forerunners to a complete one-world government. All these organizations are supported by liberals. A one-world government is the epitome of big government.

Many theologically conservative Christians believe that the Earth will be united under a one-world government, based on Scripture. In the popular Left Behind series, the Antichrist begins his plan by subsuming America into the One-World Government. This is based on the Book of Revelation. Theologically conservative/orthodox Christians believe that the ultimate reason for the push for globalism and one-world government is rebellion against God leading up to the Antichrist – rather than submit to God and recognize that only He can unite the world and bring world peace, liberal globalists seek to create utopia themselves and glorify humanity rather than God.

Additionally, because Christianity, in the view of liberal globalists, is “exclusionary” – including, but not limited to, its claim that faith in Jesus is the only way to Heaven – they consider it antithetical to the universal values required to “govern the Earth.” Some globalists wish to effectively create a unified world religion.

9. The roll-out of the Mark of the Beast

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

This Big Development in China Is Setting Up the World for the Mark of the Beast / CBN News, July 6, 2021

Have you ever wondered about the passage in the Bible about a government restricting the population so that you cannot buy or sell unless you have a particular mark? Well, China’s move toward a cashless society is the answer. This is where the entire world is literally being set up for that kind of government control.

The Chinese government is pushing ahead on many fronts to restrict what its population can and cannot do. They already restrict the right of assembly. They already restrict religious freedom. They certainly restrict political speech. And any speech that is critical of their government (and the way they run things) is definitely cracked down on.

All you have to do is look at what’s happened in Hong Kong over the past just two years and you get a very clear picture of where they’re going. But they want to control, and they’re doing it right now with social credit scoring where if you don’t score a particular way you’re not allowed to travel. That’s already in place.

But just imagine a government that if you step out of line they can now turn off all your money and do it instantly so you cannot buy or sell, you don’t have the right in the marketplace to participate anymore.

That’s what digital currency allows a government to do. And if you think it’s just going to happen in China think again. The Federal Reserve already has a study group looking at a digital currency for the United States. Why are they doing that? Because they’re afraid China will usurp the U.S. and become the world currency, that digital currency is taking over.

So you see all the action happening in the stock markets, the various markets for Bitcoin and other digital currencies, their rapid rise and people becoming overnight millionaires, billionaires based on the value of these digital currencies, and so the Federal Reserve wants to get in on that action to protect the U.S. Dollar as the world currency.

We depend on that right now. We’re spending ourselves into oblivion and what allows us to do that is that we have the world’s (reserve) currency. So we are essentially borrowing against the value of our currency in order to have a two trillion dollar deficit.

Well, that party has to come to an end at some point in time. China’s waiting for that party to end, and they want to step on the world stage with digital currency. Unfortunately, at the end of that, you and I will now be subject to a government that may not agree with your opinions, may not agree with your religion, may not agree with the people you hang out with, and they would absolutely restrict your access to that digital currency in an effort to control you.

That’s how you get the fulfillment of a Bible verse that says you can’t buy or sell without a mark.

10. The Convergence of the Countdowns

4 countdowns are converging, and give us a clue for the timing of the Rapture, and the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation:

6,000 Years from Adam to the Day of the Lord

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has a part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with Him a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4-6)

2,000 years from Jesus’ First Coming to His Second Coming

Come, let us return to the Lord.
For He has torn us,
and He will heal us;
He has wounded us,
and He will bind up our wounds.
He will revive us after two days,
and on the third day He will raise us up

120 Years – The Days of Noah and the Age of Apostasy

And the Lord said, “My Spirit will not remain with mankind forever, because they are corrupt. Their days will be 120 years.” (Genesis 6:3)

70 / 80 years – The re-birth of Israel and the Last Generation

Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. (Matthew 24:32-34)

The good news is that the Church is:

SAVED FROM the wrath through Jesus Christ – (Romans 5:8-9)
DELIVERED FROM the wrath to come – (1 Thessalonians 1:10)
NOT APPOINTED to the wrath – (1 Thessalonians 5:7-10)
KEPT FROM the “hour of trial” of the Tribulation – (Rev. 3:10-11)
TO COMFORT ONE ANOTHER about the BLESSED HOPE of the RAPTURE – (1 Thessalonians 4:18)

“For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. (Jeremiah 29:11-12)

Because of the Lord’s faithful love
we do not perish,
for His mercies never end.
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness!
I say: The Lord is my portion,
therefore I will put my hope in Him. (Lamentations 3:22-24)

Knowing the imminence of the Rapture and the end, we need assurance of Eternal Life.

If you are not sure that you are saved, you can accept Christ into your life right now, by praying:

“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life.  I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior.”
