CBC Journalist Brags About Ratting Out Worshippers at Church

A CBC News journalist posted a video to Twitter bragging about how she ratted out worshippers who attended a church service in British Columbia in violation of COVID rules.

“I counted more than 60 people inside this church in Chilliwack, a bold breach of PHO orders to suspend gatherings due to record high Covid cases,” tweeted Georgina Smyth.

“Another church nearby was visited by RCMP. Unfortunately both religious leaders decline to speak with us on camera.”

The video shows Smyth parked some distance from the church as she counts every single person to leave the building, including children playing in the parking lot.

“Smyth made clear her intention was to get the Churchgoers persecuted for worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by retweeting a bunch of stories about other Churches in the area being fined by the corona cops,” pointed out Chris Menahan.

The tweet once again underscores how journalists now see their role as publicly shaming people who dare to transgress draconian rules or deplatforming anyone who uses social media networks to dissent against them.

Last week, another Canadian journalist stalked a small restaurant in Ontario that had kept its doors open in defiance of COVID rules.

Owner Adam Skelly was subsequently handcuffed, arrested and later banned from social media.

Journalism is dead, with many now reduced to scratching out a living by acting as Stasi-like informants on behalf of giant corporations or the state.
