Awake Goy TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Iraq and Saudi Arabia, and deplored the suicide bombing in Medina as sacrilege to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
“I sympathize with the dear people of Saudi Arabia who were affected in these terrorist attacks, while the terrorist attack outside Prophet’s Mosque was disrespect for Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) which makes us even more upset,” Larijani said, addressing an open session of the Iranian parliament on Tuesday.
The Iranian parliament speaker also condemned the terrorist attacks in Baghdad, and said, “The death and injury of around 400 fasting Iraqi people is a bitter incident for the entire Muslim world.”
Two explosions hit two different parts of Saudi Arabia on Monday night.
The first explosion hit the Qatif region in the Southern part of Saudi Arabia, but except the suicide bomber no one was hurt in the explosion.
The second blast rocked outside Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) mosque when a suicide bomber blew up himself in the city of Medina on Monday night.
At least six people were killed in Medina bombing.
At least 213 people were killed and more than other 200 people were wounded in Sunday’s Baghdad suicide bombing claimed by the ISIL terror group, officials said, as the toll made the attacks one of the deadliest ever in Iraq.
The suicide car bombing, which ripped through a crowded shopping area and sparked infernos in nearby buildings, also inflicted huge damage on properties in the area, security and medical officials.
The area in the capital’s Karrada district was crowded with people shopping ahead of the holiday marking the end of the holy Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi vowed “punishment” for those responsible, and his office declared three days of mourning for the victims of the attack.
Abadi also ordered changes aimed at addressing long-standing flaws in Baghdad security measures, including scrapping fake bomb detectors that were in widespread use at checkpoints years after the man who sold them to Iraq was jailed for fraud in Britain.
The bombing came just a week after Iraqi forces won a major victory over ISIL, retaking the city of Fallujah, one of the terror group’s last remaining strongholds in the country.
ISIL’s defeat there was compounded by a devastating series of air strikes targeting militants as they sought to flee the Fallujah area.
Iraqi and US-led coalition aircraft destroyed hundreds of ISIL vehicles and killed dozens of fighters in two days of strikes against terrorists convoys after the end of the Fallujah battle, officials said.
Bombings in the capital had decreased since ISIL overran large areas North and West of Baghdad in June 2014, with the militants apparently more concerned with operations elsewhere.
But the group has struck back against Iraqi civilians after suffering military setbacks, and in May, Baghdad was rocked by a series of blasts that killed more than 150 people in seven days.
