BREAKING: Nouriel Roubini sees bad times ahead for the economy.

The only question is: How bad?

CNBC:

“The question is not whether or if there is going to be a double dip, but whether it’s going to be mild or severe with another financial crisis,” Roubini told CNBC on the sidelines of the World Knowledge Forum in Seoul. “The answer on that depends on the euro zone.”

Regardless of what camp you’re in (double dip, weak growth, muddle through, etc.) it seems that the question of whether the eurozone will produce some kind of event shock is a huge one. Even the muddle-through, no recession folks can’t discount the possibility of something disorderly happening, causing a crisis.

And so the world waits quietly on tiny Slovakia to save it.

Have we ever experienced a recession that wasnt bad?

    I agree with Wolf.

    Bravo2…….out

  3. Recession is the understatement of the century. Try this: Greatest Depression the world has ever known and back to the dark ages before the end of 2012. Plauges brought to you by Big Pharma,
radiation courtesy of Jeffrey GE and Elinin. Pole slip courtesy of the dark one, Nibura. Eternal star wars brought to you by NASA and their puppeteers, JPL, Raytheon, IBM, Microsoft etc………………

  4. Compare the 29 Crash 30′s Great Depression. We had a much smaller population, more people growing their own food, more knowledgeable and self-reliant in all things.
This will be Mad Max at best. Worse than all of the idiot apocalypse movies with well-hydrated/fed/clothed actors with magical weapons transportation.
The govt conspiring with china to enslave us is going to lead to a nation-wide version of Mogadishu.

  5. Whats the point of repeating over and over again the same thing, is it not visible to everyone that there was no recovery, that this recession is still in full gear? Or did the rise of the stockvalues clouded some minds?

And to Slovakia, well the first round they will vote against it, one party will even boycott the whole vote….but then they all have the opportunity to vote again for or against the EFSF. And that result is very well known in the financial markets…since even opposition politicians can be bought, if the money is right!
And if not, what I doubt, the whole thing will remain in place and just the enlargement of the “umbrella” for countries like Greece will be shattered. Its, in my opinion, just fearmongering! And Dr. Doom, how Roubini likes to be called, knew it all along….WHATEVER!

Maybe part of it was the need of the MSM to keep news cycles going.

My guess is that the money cycle on Wall Street needs to keep going…and spread some fear that the dow drops 10% so politicians may think twice….

  6. What gets me, as stated above, is why they keep talking about a double dip depression when we never left the one we are in?!!?!??!?!??!!??!?!?!??!

I guess because Obama and the NWO media said so. Nothing has improved since we went into this recession and things are only getting worse.

We are in a recession that is turning into a depression and all the government, banks and Wall Street are doing is making it worse to bleed whatever else they an out of it like the last couple pints of blood in a vampire’s victim.

  7. Yeah.

Well, hey, Joe Biden’s “Recovery Summer” was a great idea.

    But it had to work.

It is pathetic that we live under a regime that is committed – ideologically – to schemes that don’t work, can’t work, and have never worked. It all goes to show how much political wisdom the people really have, which isn’t much. It also vindicates the authors of The Bell Curve – they knew damn well what they were talking about. And the Obama vote is the dumb majority, with a scattering of predatory sociopaths among them.

  10. Amazing how some people think there has been an economic recovery to begin with. Roubini is right though in that things are about to get very much worse.

  11. Yup, and when that day comes, you won’t have to worry about gold being your standard, chicken eggs will be the new standard. I know, my Mom told me all about it ! that’s when you exchange eggs for a loaf of bread.
