Senate moves to limit debate on unconstitutional legislation

The Senate has cleared the way for a final vote tomorrow on the National Defense Authorization Act, a provision of which would empower the U.S. military to operate on American soil, arrest American citizens and cart them off to detention centers anywhere in the world.

After the failure yesterday of an amendment that would have weakened Section 1031 of the NDAA bill, which would turn the entire “homeland” into a battlefield and allow the military to arrest individuals accused of being terrorists and detain them indefinitely without trial, the Senate voted 88-12 today to limit debate on the legislation, clearing it for passage tomorrow.

“A final vote on the bill could come as early as Thursday,” reports the Associated Press.

The provision was hashed out in secret by Senators Carl Levin and John McCain. Lindsay Graham, a supporter of the bill, explained that it would, “basically say in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield” and people can be imprisoned without charge or trial “American citizen or not.”

Republican Congressman Justin Amash called the provision of the bill, “one of the most anti-liberty pieces of legislation of our lifetime,” adding that the language had been “carefully crafted to mislead the public” in that the proposed law “does not preclude U.S. citizens from being detained indefinitely, without charge or trial, it simply makes such detention discretionary.”

Amash has been joined in his opposition to the bill by Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, who has introduced an amendment to strike Section 1031 from the legislation altogether. When Paul confronted McCain on the provision earlier this week, McCain confirmed that it would apply to American citizens accused of being terrorists.

Paul warned yesterday that the passage of the bill could see U.S. citizens arrested on American soil and sent to Guantanamo Bay.

Although the Obama administration has threatened to veto the bill, some observers believe Obama would rather avoid a political hot potato and sign it into law anyway.

“He has said he will. Whether he will is a difficult question because, politically, it’s difficult to veto a defense spending bill that 680 pages long and includes authorization to spend on a whole range of military programs,” Daphne Eviatar, Senior Associate, Human Rights First’s Law and Security Program, told Democracy Now.

western media would praise a country if it borrows money from world bank and pays huge amount of interest by taxing its citizens. they would want citizens to not have property rights so; they would just become slaves for the bankers for their entire life. If you buy a home doesn’t mean you own it. If you just made the down payment, closing, brokerage fee and other formalities you would still carry the load called mortgage for the rest of your life. If you happen to pay the mortgage off you would pay a hefty property tax besides income tax and plenty of other crooked form of oppression which are also known as tax. if we had democracy we would have known who our local legislators are. we do not know because they don’t represent us. they represent the lobbyists. despite all of these deceptions and lies white people will always scream the loudest about the fu…ing freedom that they don’t believe in. Between_the_lines, Sam_Wheat, Huggles and several others have not commented on any articles for a few days now. They all seemed to have “vanished” at the same time.

I have notice the two mentioned as being trolls and stirring things up and rarely have anything intelligent to say, Sam_Wheat constantly talking smack about AJ, but then Huggles appeared to sound intelligent in the last couple of comments and then both disappeared. I also remember a new name appear quoting the Act stating it has nothing about citizens in it but doesn’t even give the section #. Plant.

It’s time journalists exposed John McCain, the Hero of Hanoi and the co-author of this latest attack on the US Constitution, for what he really was/is. Contact other POWs and ask them their opinion of McCain. Ask them if they were sworn to secrecy on the issue? From the most reliable sources, McCain was known as the “Song Bird” by his North Vietnamese captors. He liked to sing. That singing cost other POWs, especially the senior POW, additional torture and perhaps jeopardized Navy fliers attacking North Vietnam. Rather than being tried for his possibly traitorous actions as a POW, word is Congress saw fit to close his military records for 85 years. Not too surprisingly since he has also endorsed the Mexican invasion of the US by demanding amnesty for all the invaders. He supported amnesty for illegals, he was part of the group that allowed Obama to become president without proving his birth country, and now attacking the very Constitution this country was founded on once again. Possible scenario:

In the event that this ends up on obamas desk and he vetoes this, he will appear to be the “savior”. He is no savior.

This too could be a staged event. McCain is in the senate. The House is suppose to write the legislative bills and the senate votes to either approve or disapprove them. IE obamas healthscare bill…ya gotta “pass” it to find out whats in it. Written by a select few in the “House”….not the senate.

So, since when does legislation go to the oval office without a vote from the House?

The “House of Representatives”, but, just who is being represented here?

What else would there be to sell off to China if the banks have foreclosed homes, infra-structure has been sold off, along with national parks, farms, entire office blocks and energy companies. Guess the only think left is human labor.

I still can’t believe that millions of homes are being repoessessed, but when I look at the US property websites, they say there are 100 million homes on the market….

How scary is this? You have a couple dozen people commenting on engaging in an armed struggle with the federal government. The consensus is to start shooting when they come to pick you up. This is a conversation that should come across as crazy. Unfortunately, this is not crazy talk.

If he signs the bill then it essentially shreds the US Constitution when enforced and will require lawsuits and whatnot that could take years… to get it repealed or “officially” declared Unconstitutional. It’s OBVIOUS that it’s 100% Unconstitutional… so why make it up? Why make it up now? Unless this is the horribly bad “acting” of the “players” in order to set the stage for Obama’s re-election??? What is missing here is the 300 million people of this country standing up with there guns and marching on Washington. If the movement started I will follow. There has to be an organized start for the ball to start rolling. We need a good push and once the snow ball starts rolling downhill it will grow so large it can not be stopped and when it hits it will destroy anything in its path.
