MADRID — “Indignant” activists, angered by a biting economic crisis they blame on politicians and bankers, vow to take to the streets worldwide on Saturday in a protest spanning 71 nations.
It is the first global show of power by the movement, born May 15 when a rally in Madrid’s central square of Puerta del Sol sparked a protest that spread nationwide, then to other countries.
As governments cut deep into welfare spending to try to trim huge sovereign debts, the protests have grown and this weekend’s demonstrations are being organised in Madrid, New York and around the world.
“United in one voice, we will let politicians, and the financial elites they serve, know it is up to us, the people, to decide our future,” organisers said in a statement on http://15october.net/.

time
is short
protests are a waste of time and money.
If you REALLY want them to take notice of your issues then why not blow up a bank or two?
And while your at it, blow up some personal property of the banking clan!
If americans would just start to destroy burn ALL of the forclosed homes that the banks own, what do you think would happen?
If you cost them money or even better, cause them to LOSE their PERSONAL money, they will cry like little girls and tell Obummer to make it all better.
Then they will pay attention to you!
And while the destruction continues and the insurace industry goes bankrupt (haha) the global elite banksters will try anything to force the powers that be to cover all their losses in good ole bennies toilet-paper bills that everyone knows are losing their value faster than Obummers approval ratings!
The ONLY way to hurt the people that NEED to be hurt is to take away their money!
I agree Spymyeys. Protests are a waist of time and energy. shouting at deaf people is futile.
all of this the banks, corrupt govt etc. could be solved with a box of matches, power poles and piano wire.
An indignant rally is an impotent rally.
