According to Press TV, ten terrorists were also injured in the Friday operations in the town of Musa Qala, in northern Helmand, and the village of Kajaki, located in the northeastern part of the province.
On Thursday, local Afghan security officials said the terrorists launched a series of coordinated attacks on the police headquarters in Musa Qala. Seven police officers were killed, and security forces managed to secure the area after nearly eight hours of fierce fighting.
Earlier on Wednesday, a number of security checkpoints were targeted by militants in the Marwa district of the eastern province of Kunar.
Afghanistan has stepped up security operations against Taliban across the war-ravaged country over the past few weeks.
