Asian American Film Lab to host ‘Yellow Fever’ screenplay reading and workshop

The Asian American Film Lab has announced it will host a reading and workshop on April 4 of the screenplay, “Yellow Fever,” which addresses homosexuality in two very different cultural contexts.

“Given the current political climate and the opening arguments heard yesterday in the US Supreme Court in the marriage equality case that has riveted the nation, this reading is especially timely,” stated AAFL in a statement released yesterday. “Regardless of your personal views on same-sex marriage, we invite you to come, listen, learn, and (constructively!) participate in the creative process. Please feel free to share this event with others you know who might like to attend.”

Time and Place:
The reading and workshop will take place beginning at 6pm in Manhattan on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Azure Lounge located at East 91st Street and 1st Avenue in New York City. For more details and to RSVP, please email [email protected].

This romantic comedy was sold to twelve territories worldwide and had cinematic releases in Thailand, Taiwan and in various cities across the United States. T

he DVD was launched in November 2007 and the film was broadcast on television on both Here! and Logo networks. Time Out, New York reviewed CUT SLEEVE BOYS as a “fun, rare look at Gay Asian life with refreshing insights into various queer subtleties, from the difference between cross-dressing and trans to the details of being a circuit queen.” Most recently, Ray was selected to participate in 2013 Berlin Film Festival Talent Campus Script Station.
