Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents have been visiting gun shops in Alaska and asking for records of firearms sales, stoking fears that the federal agency is building a list of gun owners in the state.
According to the Alaska Dispatch, earlier this year two gun shops in Alaska “reported that ATF agents had asked for their books, and both turned down the requests. The one shop that went on the record, Great Northern Guns in Anchorage, said the ATF agent asked politely for the books, and when store manager Frank Caiazza refused, the agent just as politely accepted the refusal.”
It is illegal for the ATF to remove any material from a gun shop unless it is part of a criminal investigation. The requests for records have lead some to question whether the “ATF will create some sort of list or database of gun owners,” states the report.
Alaska Rep. Don Young requested a meeting with ATF officials after receiving reports that ATF agents were visiting gun shops and asking to see record books.
During the meeting with Young, which took place last week, ATF Deputy Director Tom Brandon attempted to assure him that the, “ATF has never maintained a database of lawful firearms owners; is not permitted by law to create and maintain such a database; and has no intention whatsoever of collecting any information for such a database.”
However, as we reported last year, this represents merely the latest example of the ATF using intimidation tactics in an effort to obtain information about gun owners.
Last summer, the ATF sent letters to gun shops in border states ordering gun dealers to comply with a new “directive” and report to the feds sales of “two or more pistols or revolvers, or any combination of pistols or revolvers totaling two or more.”
While attempting to recruit gun store owners as informants to spy on their customers, we talked to several gun dealers in Austin and one of our own staff members who reported that the ATF was conducting intimidating home visits during which they demanded to be allowed inside without a warrant, while implying that gun owners could be terrorists for purchasing two or more firearms at a time.

This is all of course very ironic given the fact that it is the ATF itself which was caught delivering firearms to drug cartels in Mexico as part of the Fast and Furious scandal.
Americans who purchase guns are already forced to undergo checks against the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System to prove they are not a felon. The ATF has no business either demanding to see records of gun owners or carrying out threatening home visits – such conduct is completely illegal.
After being caught sending weapons to Mexican criminals that were used to kill U.S. Border Patrol agents, police and citizens, the ATF is now treating American citizens like criminals simply for exercising their second amendment rights, all under the guise of a regulation (purchasing two or more firearms) that was rejected by Congress and never became law.
The ATF’s efforts to intimidate both gun sellers and purchasers really picked up steam last year after President Obama told gun control advocate Sarah Brady that his administration was working “under the radar” to sneak attack the second amendment.
During a March 30, 2011 meeting between Jim and Sarah Brady and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, at which Obama “dropped in,” the president reportedly told Brady, “I just want you to know that we are working on it (gun control)….We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”
The quote appeared in a Washington Post story about Obama’s gun control czar Steve Croley.

A rat can be trained to find it’s way through a maze. You start with a small setup with a reward of food and drink at its end. You can from there increase the length and complexity of the maze slowly and the rat will continue to conquer it. Just keep him hungry and thirsty. Eventually though a point in time will come when the maze is just to long and changed so often that the rat will tire and succumb to exaustion and starvation. The NWO is in charge of our maze and it’s getting harder for us to survive. When desperation begins to set in for us, they may offer food and drink for us all with co-operation. It may be a stick and carrot aproach to bring in the changes they seek. How severe will conditions here become before the stick is abandoned for a carrot. Will you survive all you’ve come to expect? You think constant resistance and preparation is the best course for you. You may need to question this. The way our maze is changed is through the constant barrage of news flow coming our way, and the constant initiation of new laws.
Those folks at Great Northern Guns ARE great! Two of my pistols I bought from there. They are down-to-earth folks and will NEVER knuckle under to the ATF. Good job!!!

By land you need a passport and or bordering state fastpass ID. Just know this much you cannot carry firearms across the line you either have to turn them over to be sored for you (lol) or you can ship them ahead of you. If you ever have had any judgement (DUI etc.) you must purchase a “pardon” before entering. They won’t ask for proof but if you get in any scrape with the mounties bend over if ya aint got one, pardon me no FUCK Canada and the highway we built through it for FREE ! to help secure their pussy asses back in 1941 ! Washington, Idaho and Montana have better living with less taxes anyhow !
these people dont need to have store records , if you get a background check and pass , then they know you where buying a gun. WHAT ELSE DO THEY NEED ?

A agree 100%. Anyone who thinks that THIS government is following the law and not keeping a record of who gets a “background check” is naive.
But the government criminals only know that you bought; they don’t know what you bought. That’s why they’re using intimidation and resorting to these illegal tactics.

Actually they do know what you bought for a weapon. For example they will know if it is a full or semi-automatic depending on the laws of the state governing what firearms are legal. They will know if you purchased a pistol, revolver, shotgun, etc. They have to when registering them record the serial numbers.

We have records because, believe it or not, there are these savants/criminals who have known the system was screwed up all along and have only ventured out on their own because they were, in essence, early preppers. I mean, according to their rationale, why bother complying with the law when the law itself is corrupt? Ultimately though, we cannot evolve unless we harness our collective spiritual energy and we can’t do that unless we are a nation of laws, and we certainly can’t do it when global elitists believe they have become gods. Ain’t gonna happen.
I’d guess that if the government ever straightened its ass out, the majority of these people would direct their energies in more constructive directions. On the other hand, there really are some sick sociopaths out there who just don’t get anything about living here on Planet Earth with others of their own kind. That’s one reason we have records.

I thought it was the polar and black bears doing all the muggings in Alaska. Someone did say the seals are looking to get in on the action though seeing they still hold a grudge that their babies have been beaten for their hides and want retribution for it.

out there there is wonderfull positive news here is an example:
a young lady who had both lungs transplanted in Ontario Canada is improving wonderfully.
This shows when people are generous they can make a difference in otrher people’s lives.

When I applied for my WI CC license I was allowed to use my hunter safety certificate from 1973 as proof of firearms training.
It had been digitalized and was available online instantly.

If you have ever purchased a lawful hunting license then you can bet your left nut that this data base is a defacto gun registry since most hunters use firearms for something.

You have the right idea. And after 90 days they are supposed to delete 90 day old records. However, everyone seems to forget that this agency as well as other gov’t agencies perform daily incremental backups of their system. They can correctly reassure the people that records are terminated after 90 days. No one remembers that the backups of the previous 90 days are still in the system. All they need to do is establish a separate and classified database. You’re in it baby.
Write your congressmen and senators to demand that all records are deleted, including backups. BATFE is sneaky.

They would surely love a list, so they can go door to door when the order comes down to take the guns. When the revolution starts, but is in isolated pockets, then see how fast they’ll move 80% of the sheep will turn them into the collection point on orders of Uncle Obama — they’ll also be ordered to turn in their gold and their silver as well at the same time. Count the personal stashes of food, MREs, and outdoor gear in excess of 1 tent per family and being “gifted” to the “people” patriotically through the central city turn-in point.
