Security analyst, Dr Imtiaz Ahmed, professor of International Relations at
Dhaka University, said if the plot had been an attempt to seize power, it
was a “very low profile coup.”
“In the last in two weeks people have been hearing rumours that something
was wrong in the cantonment, that some officers were missing. But if it was
an attempted coup it was a very limited one. There was no noise of any kind.
Life inside and outside the cantonment was not disrupted,” he said.
