A Short Response to The Crusades: A Defensive Response to Islamic Aggression and Expansion

For some reason I sometimes get the impression that when people talk about ‘The Crusades’ they are referring to a single event. First question one should ask would be which ‘Crusade’ they are talking about. The ‘Crusades’ were a series of events which span from the 1st Crusade in 1095 to the 9th Crusade in 1272 and beyond. During this two centuries (plus) of warfare a lot of things happened: Good things (keeping Moozies and Jews in line) but also very bad things. To present my case here are a few tips on the second aforementioned instance:

The Fourth Crusade (1202-1204): The Crusaders sacked Constantinople for no reason other than to carry greedy political agendas by some European ‘noblemen’ and to quench a certain thirst for mayhem on the part of the Crusaders themselves. The Albigensian Crusade (1208) was launched to terminate the so-called ‘heretical’ Cathars of Occitania (in Medieval Southern France) who were themselves Gnostics. In my humble opinion that is hardly ‘Christians defending themselves against Muslims’, in fact it certainly goes in connection with what Charlemagne did to the pagan Saxons who were understandably ‘just a little bit bothered’ about accepting the ‘Cult of turning the other cheek’. During those two centuries, what was happening with Moorish-conquered Spain? European Knights being sent to Jerusalem instead of being sent straight to Spain to kick the Muslims out from the Peninsula? does this ring a bell with a similar situation which is happening right now with America’s borders? Is this history somewhat repeating itself?

Yes, some neighbouring European countries came to Spain’s aid at some point in time as part of these many Crusades (check: Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa) but what did this mean in comparison to 700+ years of Moorish occupation? Things like these spread very thin in the theatre of history, especially when needs are pressing, no matter how pivotal such events might become in the end. The results of seven centuries of alien Moorish occupation plus the subsequent centuries of more Christianity for the peasantry in a given country do not go unnoticed. The consequences linger still.

To present more evidence of the Crusades partial fiascos, I’m mentioning here the so-called ‘Northern Crusades’ as well (12th and 13th Centuries) launched to wipe off the remaining Pagans in the Baltic and neighbouring territories. These last Crusades were sent to even fight other Christians elsewhere! (Western Catholics attacking Orthodox Russians). Who was the Christian God in favour of then? How on Earth was this justified. The bell keeps on ringing.

To end this short dissertation: In my opinion the ‘Crusades’ were a mishmash of different campaigns with political agendas of power-struggle, which more than frequently, clash with one another with disastrous results, but most of all it was a ‘war of religion’ in which that infection called ‘Christianity’ took a leading role (or should I say ‘Religion not meant for Gentiles’). Yes, the Crusades prevented the Alien invaders (with their own infectious religion/s) from getting away with their own imperialistic agendas of conquest and mayhem… but at what a price! On top of that, one has to add the internecine rivalries within the Christian camp that prevented a good outcome for centuries… way too many centuries, like in the case of the Spanish tragedy. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened had Europe remained Pagan instead. Would the Jews have been able to open the gates in the South to the Moorish invasion of Iberia? Would there have been any Jews allowed in the territory at all to begin with? And what is the Jewish ‘Trojan Horse’ here? Who controls both sides of the conflict?

‘No need to send our boys to shed their blood on alien desert sands for nothing. Stay at home and defend it, and never engage in brother’s wars (God dammit!)’ This should have been our ethos ALWAYS, not the spreading of false, alien cults anywhere in the World (as an excuse for Imperialistic pretensions by the way) for nobody’s benefit except for an elite of priests and ‘nobles’ who seldom represent anyone but themselves, and I’m not even including the ‘self-chosen Club’ here for that matter. They include themselves by default anyway.

This paradigm prevailed and has prevailed in Europe for too long a time to the point of European folks forgetting who they actually are. We have been mired in this ‘Abrahamic Matrix’ for over 2,000 years already. I think it’s just about time to go back to the perennial law of Nature. The true sacred law.

Revilo P. Oliver’s The Great Failure of the Crusades (published on this website recently) should be obligatory reading. It sheds some useful light on the issue.
