The Americans? Really?
Every year the International Energy Agency (IEA) calculates humanity’s CO2 pollution from burning fossil fuels. And once again, the overall story line is one of ever-increasing emissions:
“Global carbon-dioxide emissions from fossil-fuel combustionreached a record high of 31.6 gigatonnes in 2011.”
The world has yet to figure out how to stop the relentless increase in climate pollution. But mixed in with all the bad news there was one shining ray of hope. One of the biggest obstacles to climate action may be shifting. As the IEA highlighted:
“US emissions have now fallen by 430 Mt (7.7%) since 2006, the largest reduction of all countries or regions. This development has arisen from lower oil use in the transport sector … and a substantial shift from coal to gas in the power sector.”
How big is a cut of 430 million tonnes of CO2? It’s equal to all CO2 from all Canadians outside Alberta. From a US perspective, it’s equal to eliminating the combined emissions of ten western states: Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah and Nevada.
It seems the planet’s biggest all-time CO2 polluter is finally reducing its emissions.

The shift represents the loss of American companies, businesses, and industries to countries like India and China…
there is less CO2 in AMerica because there is NO WORK!!!!!
We need some smart leaders to get the fucking inspiration rolling again, please?
like maybe even build some new train tracks or a therapy farm, even, for vets?

People are too poor to drive around or buy power and manufacturing has all moved overseas … BUT the CO2 is lower … Yay.

GW… You can’t kill this thing. Does it require a silver bullet? These GW fools pick green as their color, a color that represents the plant life that depends on C02 for life AND is the base of the food chain. So they’re fooling with the air we breathe and the food we eat. This is pure insanity. But of course, we’re the insane ones.
They may be right! We’re insane for letting them fool with the very biosphere we depend on for life. These people are more dangerous than the warmongers. (Nukes excepted). EXAMPLE: They want to put sulfur in the atmosphere. Sulfur was one of the pollutants they used to shut down factories and coal burning power plants. Again,,,, INSANITY!
Solar panels require more energy and pollutants to fabricate them than they supposedly offset. Thousands of windmills look unsightly and kill their precious birds by the thousands and produce a sound no one can endure.
Same with the ethanol debacle. More energy to produce it than it offsets PLUS it delivers less fuel mileage AND eats the heck out of fuel system components,,, the same components we are told needed to reduce C02 emissions. Now you have to put even more additives in your fuel to limit the damage of this stuff AND they’re wanting to add an even higher concentration of this junk…. 20-30%!
Obviously they’re trying to make owning machinery too expensive for the low lifes. They want us riding bicycles/walking and living in 200 sq.ft. caves 30 stories high while they end life as it is known for the good of the planet.
THEY ARE INSANE!
