CopBlock Radio: Welcome to 2016 (Ep. 101)

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We made it! It’s so crazy to realize we’re in 2016! We’re progressing quickly on upgrading our equipment so we can bring you higher quality audio. Nevertheless, we had a great show tonight and  we hope you enjoy it.

We opened the show by talking about the death of Autumn Steele; which just passed it’s one year anniversary. CopBlock Network contributor Josh Hochkins wrote a heartfelt letter to Officer Jesse Hill,  the police employee that claimed the young womans life, and attended an event earlier this week. The officer involved was attempting to shoot Ms. Steele’s dog but slipped, shot Steele instead. Josh attended a protest outside the station as well, where folks asked for the resignation of the unaccountable officer.

Next we discuss a story that I wrote a few days ago about how mainstream media has been accepting of citizen journalists over the last year. In the past the mainstream media has referred to people filming public officials as troublemakers. They also attempt to discredit and disregard their actions. Today the newspaper is forced to admit that at least in 2015 most, if not all cases, that had a sense of controversy, have been solvable because of people pulling out their phones and recording.

In the following story Asa J gives a detailed account of his take on the Oregon Militia. Men in Oregon have taken up arms and decided to take a stand against the bullying and intimidation happening at the hands of the government. We watched the video of them speaking to the media and, IMO, these guys are heroes. They’re not the dangerous terrorists that you are made to believe they are.

After our break we came back with the “Douche of the Week” segment which was Michael Slager. Slager, who was at first denied bail for the murder of Walter Scott, was granted bail. His attorneys argued the stress of waiting 11 months in jail for a court date was unfair.

Next up we hit back to back videos of insanity. The first video was out of Kodiak Alaska. The officers in this video are roughing up an autistic man. If piling on top of him and screaming, forcing the autistic man to tears was not enough, they then decided to pepper spray him. The incident understandably sparked outrage throughout the community. The next video was so disturbing i could not listen to it till the end. Henderson NV police pull over a car suspecting the driver of a robbery. When they realized it was the wrong guy, they were just calmly explaining what had happened. That’s when the K9  officer decided it would be a good idea to release the dog in full attack mode, on a car. A car occupied by an infant. The video is filled with the blood curdling screams of a 17mo girl getting mauled. Having a child this age makes it impossible to keep watching.

We wrap up the show with the M.A.C. tour update. The M.A.C. tour was halted several months back when the Noblesville Indiana police put an arrest warrant out for Ademo and Brian. The police were clearly retaliating because of extreme butt hurt over some words written in chalk on a sidewalk. These officials decided to make free speech illegal and to cage the two. After it became clear that no justice would be found here, Ademo and Brian decided to give them what they wanted in exchange for being allowed to leave and not look back. Ademo and Brian had no chance at a fair hearing and their videos with public officials seem to prove that.

We look forward to seeing you all again next Wednesday at 10 PM!
