Criminals who commit offences online and cyber bullies will be banned from the internet as part of the Government’s new cyber security strategy, announced today.
It calls for police and courts to make more use of existing “cyber sanctions” to restrict access to the social networks and instant messaging services in cases of hacking, fraud and online bullying. Sex offenders and those convicted of harrassment or anti-social behaviour also face more internet restrictions under the new strategy.
Similar orders have been imposed on those charged with involvement in a series of cyber attacks by the Anonymous and LulzSec groups earlier this year, while they await trial.
Cyber sanctions were also used following the riots this summer. Two teenagers in Dundee were banned from the web for inciting riots via Facebook.

When will the government be banned from making rules and charging others with crime? When will the government be facing charges? I suspect Christians are truly waiting for god to bring his wrath to them. When he does this, he will be asked why he did it. His answer, I thought I was god. Cyber bullying…. is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones. It has to have a minor on both sides, or at least have been instigated by a minor against another minor. Once adults become involved, it is plain and simple cyber-harassment or cyberstalking. Adult cyber-harassment or cyberstalking is NEVER called …. CYBER BULLING….plus its a contractual, not a constitutional, issue……..

You actually believe these constraints?
They have been doing this for years so not sure why they call this “Government’s new cyber security strategy” or “cyber sanctions” because all it really means is they do not allow you to have the internet hooked up in your name. It doesn’t keep the people from accessing the internet. They can freeze up accounts with Facebook or email but that doesn’t stop the same people from using a new alias and creating a new account in the same spot. The only bad part of this is they can decide to have your ISP turn off your internet because they don’t like someone’s view of Jews, Zionists, etc, and say it is hate speech and have your ISP disconnect you. That’s why it is best not to make threats included in your views. Making a threat directly about any race, religion, etc, on the net is useless and futile anyways but just saying you don’t like those same people will probably become hate speech in the future. In the future you will have the “thought police” as in Orwell’s 1984 and you are not allowed to have an opinion and definitely not express it. Political correctness (thought police) has already made it hard enough to speak your mind because someone somewhere will take offense to the truth.
Oh yeah!?! You are taking the Washington law out of context. More fully, it reads:
“A person is guilty of cyberstalking if he or she,

It does not ban people making critical comments about government or any political topic.
However on the internet, if party A makes critical comments about government or politics, and party B responds by threatening to sodomize A and pay A a visit, B could be a violation of Washington State law.
Another question is: if A is in say, Washington State, and B is in say Oregon, which state’s laws apply? Or because it crosses state lines does that make it a Federal case, subject to U.S. Federal statutes? For example:

Internet law is still evolving.
So if you call for an occupy movement against our governments illegal wars, you will be banned. Isn’t that the true meaning here.
