Digital
Chocolate, a leader in cross-platform social games, today announced
the launch of Gangs
of Boomtown™ on Facebook.
Gangs of Boomtown, a free-to-play Western-themed game of vengeance, was
introduced earlier this year to gaming audiences on Google+. It had been
featured on the basis of its high quality gameplay, graphics, storyline,
and online gunfights.
Gangs of Boomtown is a social-game take on the Spaghetti Western
theme. Boomtown was an idyllic and peaceful settlement on the edge of
the frontier – until the ruthless Assassins Gang rode into town and
wreaked havoc. Now it’s up to the player to take on all challengers and
devise a revenge strategy to hunt down the perpetrators.
Facebook social gamers will now be able to cowboy up and seek vengeance,
against not only the in-game characters, but also against their friends
through the game’s PVP (player versus player) functionality. “Gangs of
Boomtown has grit, style, story, and puts you in the boots of a classic
gunslinger,” said Marc Metis, President of Digital Chocolate. “We’re
pleased to showcase the game on Facebook and simultaneously introduce
new features and missions.”
The launch of Gangs of Boomtown on Facebook further solidifies Digital
Chocolate’s cross-platform reach. The game is now playable not only on
multiple social networks but also on the company’s own browser-based
gaming destination site.
Gangs of Boomtown is available to play for free on Facebook by
going to https://apps.facebook.com/gangsofboomtown.
Digital Chocolate will be implementing a steady wave of enhancements and
new content to Gangs of Boomtown in the coming weeks. For more
