A Victorian woman who survived a plane crash that killed her 15-year-old daughter has died in hospital on the day of her daughter’s funeral.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital has confirmed Julie Ann Twigg, 43, died this morning.
The mother of four suffered head and chest injuries in the crash but had woken from a coma on Sunday last week.
Her daughter Jacinda Twigg is to be buried today at Nhill in western Victoria.
The teenager, who had arthritis, was on her 20th trip with charity organisation Angel Flight, which flies sick children to hospital for treatment.
The plane crashed in a paddock at Wallup north of Horsham on August 15.
The pilot, Don Kernot, 69, also died at the scene.
