The French are pissed.
Allegedly – I stress that – a 25-year-old Frenchman has been arrested on the Ukraine-Poland border with a whole bunch of serious weapons.
A Frenchman was arrested in Ukraine while preparing 15 attacks in France during the Euro football championship, in was announced Monday in Kiev by the head of the Ukrainian security service (SBU), Vassil Grytsak.
“The SBU has successfully prevented 15 terrorist acts which were planned in France on the eve and during the European Football Championship,” said Vassil Gritsak stating that Frenchman had expressed his opposition to “the policy of his Government regarding the influx of foreigners in France, the spread of Islam and globalization.”
“Trapped by the Secret Service, the French citizen received five Kalashnikov assault rifles, more than 5,000 rounds of ammunition, two anti-tank rockets, 125 kg of TNT and 100 detonators,” he said.
That’s a serious amount of weaponry.
Earlier in the morning, AFP learned from police sources that a 25-year-old Frenchman was arrested on May 21 in Ukraine in possession of weapons and kilos of explosives, and an investigation was opened in France to determine his intentions.
Unknown to police, the man, a Lorrain, was employed as an agricultural cooperative inseminator in the Lower Rhine. He was arrested at the Polish-Ukrainian border by border guards.
It’s hard to believe a 25-year-old was on this sort of level, where he’s arranging a huge-scale revenge scenario involving rockets.
I guess we’ll know more.
