Guantánamo Bay 10 year anniversary: Britain working ‘very hard’ with US to help close camp

The groups have criticised the government’s insistence on having the final say
on what material is published, and its refusal to allow victims to test
evidence from the security services.

At least 14 former Guantánamo inmates have been taken in by Britain and dozens
more by European countries as US President Barack Obama seeks to fulfil his
pledge to close the camp, opened in 2002 to house terror suspects.
