Motorists are being urged to stay out of Sydney CBD on Sunday morning and make way for thousands of runners competing in the city’s half-marathon.
An estimated 16,000 people will dash around the 21.09km course starting in College Street, looping through Circular Quay, The Rocks and Pyrmont before ending in Hyde Park.
Roads throughout the CBD, including the Cahill Expressway and sections of the Western Distributor, will all be closed from 4am (AEST).
They’ll open again by 11am (AEST).
The Harbour Bridge and Tunnel will stay open but delays are expected.
“Motorists are being advised to stay away from the CBD and Pyrmont during the morning and take alternative routes,” a NSW Transport Management Centre spokesman said.
