Ahmadinejad advises U.S. and Israel to ‘stop and be ashamed’, as media frenzy debates consideration of military option; Iran continues to insist program being used for civil purposes, and not nuclear weapons.

Iran would not stop its nuclear work, despite media speculation that Israel was considering military threats, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday.
“We advise the United States and its ally [Israel] to stop and be ashamed of [their threats] and be aware that Iran will not take one step back [from its nuclear program],” Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with students in Tehran.
“Anyone acting against Iran would gravely regret” a military attack, he said according to official news agency IRNA.
Ahmadinejad was speaking ahead of the publication Wednesday of a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA], which is expected to disclose new details of Iranian efforts to build a computer model of a nuclear warhead.

I think no country would be safe without nuclear weapons. With the threats Iran has had to deal with, it would be stupid if they did not arm themselves.
Look at what happened to Iraq when they jumped to the American tune for 10 years.

Iran is making the only choice they have. Like Billo stated, disarming will only lead to the US invading. Might as well stay armed and keep building and designing your technology as quick as you can. As you all probably notice the US only attacks and invades countries that have no chance to defend themselves and then we “occupy” them. If I was a smaller, weaker country I would do everything in my power to get nukes for this purpose. Maybe Iran is working on nukes, but it’s their right. Who are we to tell them we will attack if we even think they may be close to having a nuke with no evidence when there’s no doubt we dropped ‘em on Japan, not Japans military or bases but their innocent citizens. That’s pure evil right there and we feel we can lecture the world on this matter?

I’m not a fan of religious wars. ‘Ancient hatred and modern weapons’, as Carlin put it, can not lead to anything good or beneficial for mankind. I see nothing wrong with having a bomb, just as long as it’s not near my house ! You can smoke a bomb everyday; see if I care ! IAEA says Iran will have the bomb in a few weeks. Israel is paralyzed without US support. They can only wait until a Mullah drops it on Tel Aviv.
