‘Israel raid on Iran in no one’s interest’

“It’s our very strong belief, as President Obama conveyed to the Israelis, that it is not in anyone’s interest for them to take unilateral action,” Clinton told the ABC News on Tuesday

Clinton also noted the Obama administration favors a diplomatic solution to the impasse over Iran’s nuclear issue.

The United States, the Israeli regime, and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear program. Washington and Tel Aviv have at times threatened Tehran with the “option” of a military strike against its nuclear facilities.

On March 15, Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said despite Tel Aviv’s escalating war rhetoric against Iran, the Israeli regime is too small to survive even one week of real war.

Salehi added that Iran does not consider Israeli claims or threats as real threats.

Iran argues that as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has every right to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

The IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities but has never found any evidence indicating that Tehran’s civilian nuclear program has been diverted towards nuclear weapons production.
