Occupied Jerusalem, July 10 (QNA) – Ahrar Prisoners center in Palestine has announced that Israel released Hamas leader Khalid al Hajj who has been under administrative detention for 14 months.
In statements to the press, head of the center Fouad Al Khafsh said Tuesday Al-Hajj has been held under frequent administrative detention since May 7th, 2011, spending a total of more than 100 months in detention, with no charges.
Al-Hajj was set free from Ofer prison after serving time in Megiddo and Shatta prisons, according to Palestinian news agency (Ma’an).
He said prisoners were calling more support from the Palestinian public in their struggle against Israeli prison authorities stressing on the need for national reconciliation. (QNA)
